Anyway, I think alisande has a good idea with four-cheese pizza. A quick search on Food Network's web site came up with lots of recipes with "four" of something, such as these:

four star salad
four cheese lasagna
cake petit fours
four flower juice
four legume salad

Your party sounds fun, I love a good theme!

Rolled meatloaf, filled with 4 different ingredients. It's really good.

Rolled Meat Loaf

1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
1/2 pound ground veal.... (I used 1 lb.pork, don't eat veal.)
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
4 drops hot sauce
1 T. worcestershire sauce
1 onion, chopped finely
1/2 tsp. oregano
salt and pepper

1 pkg. frozen chopped spinach, cooked and drained
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 hard boiled eggs, chopped
6 thin slices of ham

To prepare the meatloaf, mix together the first 11 ingredients, until just mixed, don't overwork. Spread the mixture out on a sheet of wax paper, in a rectangle of any size but it needs to be 1/2" thick.

Layer on the spinach, spread evenly, then the chopped egg, then the cheese and finish with the ham slices.

Roll up the meat loaf with the aid of the wax paper, jelly-roll style, starting at the short end, and seal the edges, and fix where it rips open, which it will! Place in a baking pan, 9x13 or so.... Bake at 350º for 1 1/2 hours. Make sure you removed the wax paper!

Speaking of dessert, how about a cheesecake with four sections of toppings? pineapple, blueberry, cherry, sour cream?

Maybe you could make a mashed potato casserole along the same lines...sectioned off into four....each topped differently with cheddar, bacon, green onion, etc.?

I don't have any suggestions, but just wondered what caused you to start the group?

I was just playing solitaire on the computer. I didn't win, but my score was 444. Maybe that's better than winning?

Maryann - About 6 of us went to high school together (I even went to grade school with one). We all went to the same University and met up with several more friends there. WILD times. There are 12 of us, and we lived in three houses down the street from each other in Cincinnati. I think the 4 thing started after coming home from the bars. If the clock read 4:44, we'd call the other houses and sing the "444 song" that we had made up. It was quite fun to get messages in the morning from our friends singing. Things just evolved over the years, and we have a Yahoo group to stay in touch with each other - forum, chat room, email group, etc.

We graduated from college almost 10 years ago, and we are still a close group of friends. We try to get together at least once a year around April 4. Several of us moved back to Indianapolis and see each other much more often.

For a while, there was a value meal at Burger King that cost $4.44. That was one of my favorites. It's just a fun little thing. When I look at my clock and it's 4:44, I think of my friends. :)
