Going off-topic a little, hope it's ok... I spent a week taking care of my 5-year old grandson in the afternoons. I had my coloring books, and he wanted to do a page, so we picked the easiest one for him (a ladybug). He worked so hard to stay in the lines and did a pretty good job. It was such a peaceful time coloring together, just chatting about anything, asking each other what color do you think this should be, and so on. It was a really lovely time. Since then I've noticed his coloring in general is much better, and he pays attention to his colors (no green skin) like he didn't do so much before. I'm sure the coloring will benefit Alyssa as well, to say nothing of the time spent with loving family.

A number of years back my mom gave me a used drink pitcher for Christmas. Not a nice pitcher or one with special memories, this had the nasty dishwasher etching and no idea where she got it. . At the same time mom gave my brother’s girlfriend old coffee cups, based on the design they were probably from the 80’s. No clue what was going through my Mom’s mind, she was not having financial or health difficulties. My husband and brother received very generous gift cards to Best Buy and she gave nice nice gifts to all the other family members. It was as if she was upset with us for some reason. Never figured it out.

Well, the lighting stinks, but I couldn’t wait. :D I put her on DH’s side of the room … she was a daddy’s girl and the corner chair was a fav sunning spot in the afternoon. In the mornings, she liked to nap on his side of the bed, snuggled up to the pillows. When I’d make the bed, she’d sit on the nightstand waiting for me to finish. Also, some of you pointed out that the background looks like our comforter. This is a happy Jinxy spot. My DD had this wooden card made for me years ago, and I put it behind my lamp. I’ve been wanting something meaningful for my DH’s side and Kitty could not be more perfect. . . (((Mtn))) thank you for this forever special, forever beloved gift, and (((Ida))), thank you for making it happen. You two have brought us so much comfort. It hurts to walk in there and see the chair and bed empty every day, but now I feel like she’s there in spirit. ❤️❤️
