Help Me Solve the Question?

I am trying to win a radio contest for American Idol tickets. Here are the clues-- does anyone have an idea of what this may be:

CLUE #1: It's in a box.

CLUE #2: It's smaller than a refridgerator box.

CLUE #3: There is writing on the box.

CLUE #4: There's more than one.

CLUE #5: Not everyone can use it.

CLUE #6: It can cause pain.

CLUE #7: It weighs less than a pound.

CLUE #8: It's part of a family.

CLUE #9: It comes with instructions.

CLUE #10: It can be found in the grocery store.

I have fruit trees on a hill and do put the peaches uphill from the apples. At the very top of the hill I have apricots. The reason for this is order of bloom. Apricots bloom early when there is danger of the flowers or new fruit freezing. Peaches bloom a little later, but still are in danger of a freeze to blooms and fruit. The idea is that cold air sinks, so it will sink down away from the more tender trees. In the past we have had enough rain that position on the hill for water has not been an issue. Today I put some chives near a peach, but I don't put them too close as both are shallowly rooted. Garlic is tucked in near plums and autumn olives for no particular reason. Winter squashes go midway between any trees Dock is allow under all trees. I'll be putting in baptesia near all the trees but not really until I grow them in pots for a year or two so that I don't stomp the little things which are only a couple weeks old at the moment.

Thanks for your help....I'm actually going to ask the guy who installed the glass for the shower in my new home...and he's coming here on Thurs, to bring the glass for my cabinets...DUH!!!...like why oh why didn't I think of him in the first place!!!... 'pammyfay'...thanks for the Michaels suggestion... you know I forgot about them totally...and you are right...they have their weekly coupons...If the glass guy is too expensive, I will surely check them out...Thanks again, for the great suggestions...

Help me solve the mystery of why oil darkens soapstone!

Thanks for the ideas! I think we are probably right that this is a physical process, and NOT a chemical one. Gee: just when I thought we stoners had only to focus on the myth that soapstone is porous and needs to be sealed...Now we have to go after that oxidation myth too. Er, well, at least we obsessed stoners do. Maybe that only means me! Where is Vicki... But I still can't quite get my brain around how this works. If I rub oil on other non porous surfaces (glass, ceramic, plastic) the color doesn't change at all. Wet ceramic doesn't look darker than dry ceramic. But if I rub oil or water on porous substances, then I see a color change. Yet soapstone is nonporous. So in what magical middle land does this stone reside where a purely topical application changes its color so dramatically? Maybe I should ask the Straight Dope guy. Supposedly there is no question he can't answer. I'll plan on doing that... Cleo: all that communing with my stone has done damage. I now have a severe case of tendonitis in my elbow!! I can't believe it. I am constantly reminded of that infamous Seinfeld episode, The Contest. Remember the hand model whose hands got stuck in a permanent claw shape from...er...overuse?? ;-) Francy

Yea quite a question how to weatherproof a pocket door. Most likely why the GC recommends against it. Note the houzz inspiration pics are in san fran... you wouldnt find these in cold climates. The inspiration pics look nice but are they practical? Do they leak air or water? We dont know. Perhaps a large sweep meant for garage door bottoms. Wont look nice though. Maybe if they install it under the jamb? A real pain to maintain though. When they say they have a kit that works with exterior doors, I am guessing that means it will accept a door that used to be an exterior door, not that it is meant to be installed on an exterior wall. Implementing this idea will not be cheap that is for certain. An outswing door is more practical as others have mentioned. Perhaps a pocket screen door on the inside with the outswing door.

i first thought aspirin until you came back with the 2001 clue.

if it is a sponsor product, coca cola is a sponsor and they introduced diet lemon coke that year, but i don't see where that would come with instructions or cause pain (unless you drink too much).

who is sponsoring your contest, a local place or AI themselves? that could help too.

Here's my guess....Peptol Bismol.

There are a family of complaints and cause pain....Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomachÂDiarrhea!

I think they may sponsor AI.

I'm not sure when the Pepto jingle with the little dance came out, but that's my guess anyway.

How about something to do with AT&T? Was their Friend's and Family thing introduced in 2001? What accesories can you buy for phones? And, what can you get at a grocery store?

Clue #12 It is larger than a tooth

They gave two clues a day, someone got it this morning. The answer is Crest White Strips.... I thought for sure I was going to win, as I was lucky enough to be the correct caller 4 out of the 12 times... but just didn't have the correct answer. They kept giving clues until the winner identified the product. Thanks for the help.
