Results of gallbladder scan

The gallbladder looks great.Now she wants a CT scan of the pancreas, cause they didn't get a good look at it. I'll find out today if I have to have it before Friday afternoon, or if it can wait til the end of May. Weather and no more problems with the RV permitting, we are supposed to leave for NC on Sat. morning. Merlefest begins on the 28th, then will do some touring of TN, KY, ect. I am feeling fine. The last day of heart burn was Sat. I even had tea yesterday morning, and burger and fries at Red Robins last night about 9 (yes, I know, way to late to eat!) and no problems.

I must've missed your previous posts. Is heartburn a sign of gall bladdar disease? I get heartburn from water these days!

Well, if diverticulitis didn't show up, does that mean other things would have shown up if they had been there? Like growths or abnormalities, Rita? Does the CT scan rule out a bunch of scary stuff? That's what I'm hoping.... That's what we hope, too, Flamey. When the nurse called with the results, I asked about that. She said it would have shown a mass if one was there. ?? (I'm thinking, mass of WHAT? And WHERE?) On Monday, I'll get a chance to visit with the doctor after the procedure, so hopefully we'll know more then and/or I can pin him down on exactly what the CT scan would/would not show.

Kat that is such wonderful news. I hope you manage to lose the weight....I admit that my weight gain is still hanging around but last night I had a talk with myself about it....I am going to continue my good thoughts for you and the rest of our survivors here and hope and pray that you all will do the same for me.........We may not beat this beast, but lets hope we can live with it in check long enough for something else to get it...You rock my friend.

Before you have any scans or scopes, go to a chiropractor. I had what seemed like gallbladder attacks last summer but I had my gallbladder out, over 10 years ago. One attack was so bad that I needed to go to the hospital. To make a long story short, after spending a lot of $$$ on tests and finding nothing, I was telling my chiropractor about this whole ordeal while there for a treatment, and he said it doesn't surprise him that I spent alot of $$ and they found nothing. However there is a place on the back that controls the tummy/digestion/etc. that was probably irritated. He pressed the spot and sure enough it was very tender.

I agree with Dea! Whatever my problems I FIRST go to the chiropractor -- and seldom need to go to the Med Doc.
Every place that a vertibrae is out of place (even a tiny bit) it pinches the nerves that go through that passage (and all nerves are connected to the spine.)

Some people just can't get out of their minds the false idea that chiropractors fix bones! They deal with NERVES, and nerves affect absolutely EVERYTHING in our bodies.

Tami, I agree, and suggest that you find a chiropractor that deals with KEEPING YOU HEALTHY. Yes, you need to go back many times, but how many visits and prescriptions have you already had, not to mention tests, and have no improvement.

Juellie, no, it's not. I had an attack a week ago, vomited bile.

Dea & Judy, I saw my wonderful chiro last week, and did tell him about it, thanks. Might be why they didn't find anything. Get to wait til we come back for the ct scan.

Tami, Did they do they Hida Scan? Or just a ultra sound? The Hida is the one that would give you a definite answer. (It takes about a hour, and you have to lay flat on your back without any movement while dye goes thru .)

I had a hida! lol sounds funny.
unfortunately mine wasn't a stinky gallbladder! lol

No Hida, just an ultra sound. I have a feeling it was a virus. I am being bad and eating greasy fried food again, tho not nearly as much, with no problems. You eat what you gotta eat when you gotta eat! And that hasn't been at home much the last couple days.

Also got good report from arthritis doc yesterday, so good to go to NC!

I hope, what ever it is/was, it will get taken care of, and you don't have any more problems. Have fun on your trip, and don't mess with fate, eat right!

I hope that all is well with your health. My only suggestion - drink alot of water. Merlefest looks great! MY DH & I love bluegrass & are going to a festival in the Poconos in Pennsylvania in June!

Kat, hida : sounds funny, but wasn't fun at the end! If your gall bladder is "bad", the dye stuff they run in at the end makes you VERY nauseous. A true accurate diagnosis but not too much fun! After a hour on my back on that table, my back hurt a lot more than my guts : )

Susan, I'm not thinking about that. I don't want to know! We do tow a small pickup truck. When we get where were going we park the rv and wagon wheel out around it with the truck to see everything which is much cheaper on gas. Not taking the truck only saves us about one mpg.

Gallstones are usually "pebbles" within a gall bladder. A gall bladder is really a pocket placed below your liver which actually keeps bile produced through the liver. During a meal (in particular these that contain fats or proteins), the gall bladder can develop contraction, offering bile by means of bile ducts to the intestinal tract to help digestive break down. Defective arrangement of bile brings about enhancement of gallstones. Gallstone problems is often a frequent root cause of abdominal pain, irritation, and also infection of the gall bladder as well as the pancreas.
