Got DHs CT scan results

The scan didn't show diverticulitis, so I guess that's good. His labs were all good except a slightly elevated blood sugar - but the nurse said it was really very slight. He is scheduled for a colonoscopy Monday. Wish I had more to report. Just please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

great news about the diverticulitis...and good for him for getting a colonoscopy...that'll clean him out and have him up and feeling good in no time flat! Keep us posted!!

thanks, everybody. i have a bad feeling about this. yesterday when i came home, i found bloody poo in the back room. maggie has a history of coccidia although the last 2 times this happened (this is the 3rd time in just 4-5 months), the fecal sample tested negative. now i am wondering if this is a cancer that has been spreading throughout her body. if this proves to be the case, i will likely have her put down while she is under for the tests. i can't bear the thought of seeing her suffer. she has not felt well for the past few months although all of the usual tests have not been able to diagnose the problem. *sigh* i will update when i can. thank you again for the thoughts and prayers, they are much appreciated.

I am sure they have treated much stinkier people than you. Ask them. LOL I they say 'no' don't shower for two days before the next visit. BwaHaHa! Good luck and I hope they don't lose the tests! THAT is worse than waiting for results!

Well, if diverticulitis didn't show up, does that mean other things would have shown up if they had been there? Like growths or abnormalities, Rita? Does the CT scan rule out a bunch of scary stuff? That's what I'm hoping....

I will keep you guys in my most positive thoughts! I hope he's feeling better, anyway.

That's what we hope, too, Flamey. When the nurse called with the results, I asked about that. She said it would have shown a mass if one was there. ?? (I'm thinking, mass of WHAT? And WHERE?) On Monday, I'll get a chance to visit with the doctor after the procedure, so hopefully we'll know more then and/or I can pin him down on exactly what the CT scan would/would not show.

Keeping good thoughts for you and DH. Glad the CT scan didn't show anything. Dr Tim Johnson was saying on GMA that when possible to schedule your colonoscopy for the afternoon, so you can "clean out the night before and the morning of the test. Hope all goes well.
