Kate, the next Bachelorette?

Heard that question on TV yesterday but didn't see the follow-up story. Please tell me that can't happen!

I heard Allie is the next Bachelorette. What man in his right mind would want to pursue Kate? She is too high maintenance and has too much baggage

I always say I won't watch, but then get sucked in everytime. I was really hoping Gia would be the next bachelorette. I'm not a fan of Ali. Her hallway scene still makes me chuckle.

I have to say that I have enjoyed quite a few guilty pleasures since I kicked my SOAB (except I love my MIL) DH out in February -- DWTS, AI, and now The Bachelorette. I've never watched any of these shows before and I LOVE them! I've enjoyed TB, even though it seems so contrived. Wes, the villain. Michael, sweet and clueless. Jake, Jesse and Kyptyn(?), eminently desirable. Tanner, what's with the feet? Ewww! Early on I liked Juan a lot, thought their careers and families would mesh well, but if the spark's not there, it's not there. It seems that many of the contenders didn't get much time with her, but that could just be the film editing. And there does seem to be a LOT of drinking going on. I'm kind of uncomfortable with the idea that at lunch she's practically necking with one guy, and later, with another. It does look like there's a "no tongues" rule, at least for the cameras. I think Jesse would be a good bachelor for a future show if he doesn't get chosen on this one. A handsome wine maker in Carmel Valley...sigh. Carmel Valley is like a micro Napa Valley, more bucolic and less congested. Scenery is amazing. I learned to walk at Lake Louise, so it was nice to see it. A few days exclusive use of a few luxury train cars, plus the entertainment, helicopters, etc.??? Goes to show how much the budget is since there's not that much in-your-face product placement, unless you're counting Wes, who you couldn't pay me to buy his potential CD. LOL

It you watch the scene with Ed again you can tell the pictures they show after the light came on were from earlier when they were rubbing oil on each other. Notice every light and candle were burning and they were wearing the same clothes? The picture of Ed sitting on the balcony was also from earlier. Do you really think they got the camera crew and told them to come back in and lit every light and candle again? As for Kip and Reid, you really don't know how long the camera crews were there. They just didn't show as much but they might have hung around a bit, too. We just don't know. They move stuff around to make it looks like he couldn't perform but I don't think it was that at all. If anything I think they were both tired and sunburned.

I felt awful for Des and also Brooks. When she professed her love for him a few times I was surprised it aired as that has always been a no no. I see why editing may have let it air and build up to last nights revelation. "The most shocking episode yet". Well Chris Harrison you were finally right!!! I can't imagine Chris and Drew wanting to be with her knowing what her true feelings are. I checked Reality Steve who usually gets it right, so we shall see. Hopefully we won't see her creepy brother make anymore appearances.

How many bachelors do they start out with? I doubt you could find that many willing to take a chance ending up the winner. It's going to take a very special man to take on eight kids and a type a personality too. (Angelina Jolie got the only one in the universe that even comes close.)

Not sure what crazy guys would go for a self-centered, controlling, "wanna be Diva" with 8 little kids. Bad idea any way you look at it.

Someone asked her in an interview on DWTS if she was planning to start dating or get married again.She quickly answered,"No! And who would be interested in someone with 8 kids anyway?" I don't know,I guess I'm the odd man out here but I would hope that some day there would be a man out there that would love her and her kids.Maybe one with lots of money.LOL

I'm not sure Allie is any better... she is a whiney drama queen. lol Drove me nuts on the last Bachelor... remember when she couldn't decide between Jake and her job? And then the scene in the hallway?

Ditto about Allie. I liked her in the first couple of episodes, then she reverted back to high school behavior. The hallway scene was over the top. I was hoping for Gia as the next bachelorette, she is the total package.
