I think you hit the nail on the head. It's staged AND she's a dimwit. You know Wes can't win b/c of all the stuff they're showing and talking about about him. She wouldn't sit there a few months later with good ole Wes at her side and see all this. I'm just sorry he's from Texas. I hoped we bred good ole boys better than that down here in the Lone Star State!

I lived in Phoenix for about 20 years, then Flagstaff for 10 years. I retired to Wisconsin of all places! Most people think I'm nuts and so do I sometimes. Got laid off from NAU and couldn't afford to stay, so came here where I have family -- nice small town in central WI, so not bad. I do miss Flag and get back to visit whenever I can. I would be a snowbird if I could afford it.

My favorite cousin lives there and her husband owned several restaurants in Flagg years ago.I think they sold them all now but they are still there.I know you have eaten at El Chilito.

I did eat at El Chilito many times -- very good. I worked in ITS at the Univ. -- desktop computer support for faculty and staff. I really loved Flag, but decided my retirement income would go further here and I was not quite ready to retire when I was laid off. Prescott is another beautiful place -- great climate. I grew up near Milwaukee, so I re-adjusted to this climate pretty quickly.

Didn't she lose her mother at an early age? She has said she needed to grow up fast.

The girl is confused. She is not a grown-up. She's one of the worse cases of arrested development we've ever seen on this show. She's got the mental maturity of a middle schooler.

Jake is certainly not the man they edited him to be at first. Actually he and Jillian would be a great match as long as they didn't have kids yet. They're both still back in eighth grade. They may have had their successes in career and education but emotionally they have a lot of catching up to do.

Wes deserves better. He doesn't need a jealous little girl who listens to gossip. Especially in the business he's in. Run Wes run.

I was glad initially Jillian was the Bachelorette but she is SO clueless.The show has to be staged. Wes would have been the first one to go back when there were 30 of them. He's a creep, not attractive, uses bad grammar(but then so does she) and is in it for the band. I think I'll pick the PA boy Reid or Krypton. But she really likes Ed. I record the show so I can breeze by the BS.

I didn't watch most of the last Bachelor with Jason, but I did see a few shows when Jillian was still on it, and I just wasn't that impressed with her. So, I haven't watched even one minute of the Bachelorette till tonight. I saw this thread earlier tonight when Magic's was the last post and she said, "I think I will go with you to your Sisters house. Maybe she can hit us both with one swing." I have a question for those of you who've seen all the episodes so far. Does Wes actually have a girlfriend? That is, did he really confide in Jake that he currently has a girlfriend named Laurel, or did he talk to Jake about his ex-girlfriend Laurel?

Wes just came across to me as insincere. Especially in the previews for next week's episode...

THe talks about Laurel or any girlfriend were not shown on tv so we really don't know the whole truth. But, based on what Wes has said in the last couple episodes about being on the show for exposure and not really caring about "the girl", I would say he does have a girlfriend.

He's a player.

Lindsey, from putting together the comments on the show and taking everything with a huge grain of salt due to editing, I believe he is still good friends with a girl he used to date.

That's why my previous post mentioned 8th grade behavior. You know the immature/insecure you can't be friends with an ex mentality.

Personally I think Wes is an idiot with no class. Let's not forget the comment he made to the guys about having already made it on 6 shows and he is there to advance his career. To me that is one way of ruining your career.

In the upcoming episodes he slips and says "my girlfriend..I mean my Ex-girlfriend". Make up your mind Wes!

I'm glad Ed came back...he seems so sweet. I hope it comes down to Ed and Kipton. Glad that she let the Break Dancer go.

Drats! I was gone last evening & missed the show! Ed came back? Is he the one who went back to his job but didn't want to leave? Did she go to Eds hometown? I really liked that guy and also Kipton seems the right fit too.

As noted before Wes has no class, uses bad grammer and is a no talent scuz all the way around. That said, I think he and Jillian are the perfect couple. The remaining guys are way too classy for her. I can't believe they would make out in the hot tub with his parents around. Trashy... trashy. The network must think its' viewers are naive idiots. What a coincidence that a camera was in Jakes room when Jillian called for him to come up to the room to confront Wes. Now I'm mad at myself all over again for watching that stupid fake show. Crap, that's two hours of my life I'll never get back...lol...can't wait til next week.

Another one here, who thinks the whole show is phony and staged. For one thing, she is a lousy actress, and didn't pull off the surprised act when Jake and Ed showed up. Wildchild, Jillian's mom suffered from severe depression for the time Jillian was a kid to early adulthood. She had to step in as her caretaker, so never really had much of a childhood. Her mom is doing well now.

I think Wes is a jerk and I do no believe him about the girlfriend issue. Two guys have now come forward with the info, plus Wes has openly admitted to being there to promote his career. How many red flags does Jillian need waved in her face.

I had a feeling she was going to send the younger guy home, but was sad to see Jesse leave. I think he was sacraficed for Ed.

My favorite scene was with the parents who put caution tape around the hot tub lol, but that sure didn't stop her.

I am not a big Jillian fan, but Wes is a total jerk. He's said several times that he specifically came to promote music, and if he happens to get the girl, so be it.

Jillian is a moron to be trying to find a husband and true love, and to keep having him stay! What is wrong with her?!?! I know she WANTS to believe him, but if she ends up choosing him, she deserves whatever she gets. I can't believe she sent Jesse home instead of Wes!

I like Reid and Ed. I would be happy with either choice.

Thanks Matti5. I'd forgotten they did show her mother on the last Bachelor show. So she did lose her mom when she was young. Just in a different way.

This is interesting. I wonder if all this hoopla is simply a lead in to the next Bachelorette? Laural seems to have gotten a lot of play out of the show for being the mystery girlfriend. Twice!!!

I knew it! Wildchild you have confirmed that a joke I made to friends saying that Jillian would pick Wes, they would make the rounds of all the talk shows, he would get tons of PR -- then in a few weeks it would all crash and burn and Laurel would be the next bachelorette! That is just how screwy this whole thing is.

Record it like I do and you can watch it in half the time and fast forward over the rehashing. . I don't think Jillian is too smart or classy. The rest of the guys, Wes excluded, are classy .

I read in this mornings paper, that last seasons #2 gal, melissa, (Dancing with the stars) is engaged to a guy who she had dated off and on for 1 1/2 years. Guess there is light at the end of the Bachelorette tunnel. I wish her well. As for Jillian, I don't think it will last, no matter which guy she chooses. Dottie
