They had to be fed a clear liquid to build nutrients, that I got from an animal rehabber. It's basically the liquid that is in iv's for humans. As they got a little older they were fed this solution mixed with powdered milk.....gradually increasing the milk. Then it was on to Pablum, then peanuts, walnuts, almonds, broccoli, carrots, brussels sprouts. They'd chortle when they saw me, and I was definitely their mother-figure. Poor ex....he picked one up, and Seymour bit him! So he was glad to let me continue being the caretaker. We got a bigger cage for them, and I put a branch inside, so they could learn to run along it and balance. When their tails get real bushy, it's time for them to be set free. I had them about 3-4 months. My cat didn't bother them at all, she sniffed them and let them be. These guys, would probably eat them!

Taken in the St. Helen's Museum. On the drive up I wondered why the stumps didn't burn and this explained it. It was not a lava eruption it was an ash eruption. The stumps would not burned because there was not enough oxygen. By the way the new growth of trees was beautiful. They were very worried the seeds would not survive.

Nicole, I can only guess... since there are no bears in Antarctica, they are either seal, penguin or some natural movement of the snowy areas. We saw nothing in the way of life while we were inside the cauldron. Jodi-

Well, you're in luck Jasdip, I took 3,500 photos during my recent Panama Canal cruise. :-) Unfortunately it's going to take a while to go through them because I only have enough room on my hard drive for one port at a time.
