Until recently I had yellow/golden oak cabinets. At the time my walls were a gray/green that tempered the yellow. I think something in a soft grayish green or blue would be nice.

our cabinets are very similar to yours and it took me forever to find a color that looked good with them. We ended up with LA Olive 2 from Lowes and the color looks great with them

If you want to stay in the gold/yellow family....go deeper to minimize the "yellowing" cabinets. We just put In natural maple cabinets and painted the walls BM Bridgewater Tan at 75%. It's deeper than the cabs but compliments them.

You should try Martha Stewart Chinchilla. It is a soft gray blue, it is stunning with my yellow maple cabinets which look just like yours.

We have cabinets almost identical to yours. Our kitchen is painted Benjamin Moore misted green 2138-50. It's a grayish green.

Benjamin Moore "Danville Tan" would look nice with them, too. It's a soft olive green barely there look.

When I saw the pics I was thinking a grey/green color and I see a few people recommended that.

So here is the thing. I really don't like green that much. My house is mostly warm beige and soft yellows with red accents. I would like to transition to a more gray/blue and white but probably not here. My family room is a soft yellow, foyer is a warm beige, laundry room is antique white, and dining room is red and gold wallpaper above chair rail and white below. It seems green or blue would stick out like a sore thumb. I was thinking that maybe a cafe au lait (creamy brown) color would work.

Thoughts?
