Thanks for the recipe. I like the flavor of beef braised in beer and I'm sure it would be nice with turkey as well.

Based off this recipe and modified for maximum efficiency: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2012/06/miso-glazed-salmon-in-the-toaster-oven-recipe.html Miso salmon take a 1/4 or 1/3 cup measure and put one scoop of sugar in a gallon ziplock bag. Use the same measure to measure miso, then an equal amount of white wine and add to the bag (order is important to avoid dirtying more than one cup measure). Add a good slug of olive oil and a good slug of soy sauce. Seal the bag and mush it around until the miso and the sugar dissolve. Add salmon to bag. I use the frozen wild filets from Costco, no need to thaw or remove the skin. Marinate in fridge until the filets are thawed (I do this in the am or night before, either works. If not using frozen filets probably only needs to marinate 30 min or so) Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil, let the excess marinade drip off and put salmon under the broiler til done (about 4-5 minutes). Serve with rice and steamed broccoli or asparagus.

I've found that with my Dad and my son. Both have nebulizers now (saga with my Dad) With this last go round with my Dad, he was on different courses of antibiotics/prednisone and albuterol breathing treatments over about 8 weeks still (coughing, coughing, coughing). Finally sent to a pulmonologist who added budesonide 2x a day to breathing treatments. Also breathing exercises (pickle, etc.) and changed his antibiotic to azythromycin because he had pneumonia. This is just some add'l info for you -- you know you and hopefully your immune system is going to kick butt here soon:) That's what I'm hoping. I'm sure you've had your work cut out for you helping this little one recognize symptoms, triggers, etc. plus missing school, activities too, plus just being 9:) DS (25 now) came home from first grade basically coughing every 30 seconds (teacher kept sending him for water) Ended up in ER doing either 3 - 5 back-to-back breathing treatments, kid's eyes were all pupil. Went to Rite-Aid to get albuterol/meds. He was literally running laps up and down the aisles with my daughter trying to watch him. As the clerk told me it would be 30 minutes, I reached across, held her arm as he flew by and said "We don't have 30 minutes." DS always had trouble in fall but has been better in recent years, if that's any consolation. Agreed, 2Many! with your description of good doc! I don't know if you are an "influencer" K ;) but "Entertaining with Beth" looks like a fun blog/website/youtube channel/whatever to follow. I think she's very "on point" for modern lives, showing how to accommodate a variety of dietary preferences. Cooking for a diverse crew, I have been doing such things for years, but if you're new to the game, she shows how easy it could be with a little forethought. I make home made tomato soup a lot, due to it being much lower in salt than the commercial canned stuff. Lately I have been using my own home canned tomatoes though, not roasted but roasting really adds a great flavor. Next year I am going to have to roast some tomatoes and freeze them . . . I also sometimes freeze the tomato soup, but thawing it is just a little bit more work/time than opening a jar or can . . . occasionally that kind of speed is necessary.
