salvaging a pot of soup

I was making my daddy's vegetable soup this afternoon. It is leftover roast, left over gravy which has a French onion soup base, some tomatoes, and carrots. Later I was going to add potatoes, corn, and lima beans.

While rummaging around in the freezer looking for interesting veggies to add, I found what I thought was another container of roast, so I dumped it in. It was leftover carnitas! The carnitas are seasoned with cumin, cinnamon, tomato juice and orange juice.

The flavors are not blending. Any suggestions on what to do to make this a more cohesive dish? Add chicken and the leftover barbecue I have in the fridge and call it Brunswick stew?
