This punch is missing something

I am having some family and friends over for a little holiday get-together. I made a small batch of this punch to see if I like it. It needs something.

Glacier Punch

2 c raspberry or citrus vodka (I used citrus)

2/3 c orange liqueur (I used triple sec)

2 T kirsch

1 750 ml bottle champagne

2 c club soda

I like the fact that it is a clear punch, made ice brittle with raspberries, blueberries and mint leaves to float in the bowl.

Any ideas to perk it up a bit? (I have Grand Marnier on hand, maybe that would be a better choice than the triple sec).

Or any other good punch recipes that don't have sherbet or any other terribly sweet confections in them?

probably won't hurt to drop some glugs of the Triple Sec..it'll just beef up your citrus theme.

the punch sounds fairly sweet to me so if i was going to try to "doctor it", i'd probably add in something more tart, like unsweetened cranberry juice.

i've posted this one a dozen times before and i don't believe anyone has tried it, but i really like it alot and therefore, will post it again. with my usual warning that because it seems so light and frothy, it's easy to overdo and id' hate to see anyone drink more than a couple glasses of this and get into a car!

Champagne Punch

2 bottles champagne (750ml each)
2 bottle club soda (1 liter each)
1 pint plain (unflavored) brandy
2 small cans or 1 large of undiluted lemonade

Agree that this is pre-punch. You've already articulated your biggest concerns. Now- not at punch- is the time to address it all. You have had a leak. To think that a few pieces of new tin will take care of it is to ignore the infrastructure issues that possibly lay, quite literally, above your head as you sleep. To think that the chipped tile can be seamlessly fixed? Well, hopefully the order was 20% over what you needed, from the same lot. Otherwise, you could be looking at the same as the ceiling- patchwork. Things go wrong- I get it! But you need to calmly, but firmly state your issues, and work for the remedies,.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I was afraid to post a photo where the signage was too small, and have included a photo of the full wall in this comment. My issue is the plantation shutters on either side of the decor - if I go bigger than this, I’m concerned that I would lose the ability to leave the shutters open if I wanted. Grateful for all of your ideas!

I'd rethink the awning over the front entry door. Remove it -- perhaps move it to the back door or another window. They you could create an actual porch that extends 6' in front of that left wing of the house with the new porch roof creating the horizontal feature between the downstairs and upstairs windows to remove the pareidolia -- two eyes and short step above the driveway. A shed roof front porch would work or you could add a forward facing gable over the entry door. Depending upon the size/shape of the upstairs window between entry door and garage, you could extend the roof straight over to the garage as well or you could create a gable above the porch roof that either moves that window forward or make that part of the roof flat and level with the ceiling of the front porch to create a balcony.

Is there something missing on this wall over fireplace?

I am concerned that the mantel is way too close to the top of the fireplace to be safe. You should find the owner's manual for this fireplace and check the clearance to combustibles. If the wall is getting hot, that mantel must be getting exceedingly hot.

San, that one sounds good, and I have all but the lemonade on hand.

The Glacier Punch isn't sweet at all, in fact, it was rather bland. That's why I think it needs something. I tried a splash of peach schnapps, it helped a little. I thought of cranberry juice, but didn't want to change the color. I really like the clear! LOL

It's not sweet enough....add more triple sec....trust me and teri....more triple sec!
Try it with a small portion...pour your self a glass and add a little triple sec...taste....see?? All better!
