Of course you need two, or three, or more....Once you start you want them all LOL! How much were the 8 rounds and the 5 rounds there? Staub's interior enamel is rough enough to take a seasoning even though it's enameled. The pores fill with polymerized oil, and it becomes more nonstick with use as they say. Le Creuset's Satin Black also does that, but Staub is much prettier.

I posted about this yesterday on the Le Creuset thread. I asked on another cooking website and they said Staub has been around for a long time. Also Staub is manufactured in France. I took a chance and ordered one as they are much cheaper than Le Creuset. I will post in a couple of weeks when I have had a chance to cook in it.

I got the TSV from QVC a couple months back...a Staub 2 qt round and it's a very nice pot although I think, for its size, thinner than LC. I suspect QVC and Staub are making a line just for QVC that is not the same quality than you would get if you purchased Staub's regular line...just my suspicion. Sorta like Home Depot and Wal-mart... I have this feeling 'cause the QVC hosts are always saying, "And you can't get this anywhere else because its made especially for QVC." Considering what I paid for the Staub, I'm pleased with my purchase. Sure wish QVC was selling that chicken Coq au Vin pot!

I have more dutch ovens than anyone needs and I bought them all because I liked the color. Red for Christmas, Burnt orange for fall, Blue for summer, Light Green for spring, a Pumpkin pot for October, a Green Apple pot for year 'round, a Big Red Apple pot for winter. I'd like to have a cream colored one eventually as the light green one, a gorgeous spring green, is a Martha Stewart from Macys and it's crap. But the next one will be a cobalt rooster cocotte. Or maybe a cow...
