Are any of you facebook people having trouble?

This morning I couldn't log on....it wouldn't accept my password. (I'm usually kept logged on)

It took me several tries and I finally had to request a new password. Which I used my orginal password and they accepted it.

Now a few hours later it isn't accepting my password again.

I haven't had any trouble but I haven't been logged out at any time.

Facebook isn't just about "friending" people you know face-to-face. It's about networking with people who have the same interests you have. If it wasn't for Facebook, I wouldn't talk to my cousins, who ALL live in The Netherlands. None of us like letter writing. Their emails get lost in all the spam I get. I have a lot of co-workers on FB and we have silly conversations on FB that we can't have at work. We don't all work the same shifts, so it's nice to talk on FB when it's convenient for us. I have friends who live in the US. We are a group of women (I mentioned our private group here a few days ago), and a few of us have met face-to-face. We used to use YahooGroups, but Facebook is so much easier to use. I belong to several colouring groups, photography groups, Calgary groups, etc., to get information directly from others. I learn more through FB about my hobbies than I do through Google, although quite often when I ask a question, I'll get sent to google... lol Facebook is addictive. It's fun. It's my way to keep up with my family because we are all so busy with our families, jobs and life in general. Do I really care what someone ate for breakfast? Nope. And they're probably not interested in what I ate either. But we post pictures and sometimes someone will say, "hey! You have a recipe for that? It looks delicious!". There is so much more than posting the food you eat or how the weather is.

Grandma used to say, "Don't cross bridges till you get there". My boss once said, "Treat others like you'd like to be treated". That was good a couple of thousand years ago - and still works. I like a variation on another, "God likes to help those who are helping others". Dad used to say, "I want to leave my farm better than I found it". My variation is to replace "farm" with "community, country and world". Good wishes for helping leave the world a better place than when you came to it. ole joyful P.S. I know I'm way late posting this, but I've gotta tell someone.... We were first in line. Proved who we were, signed the book. Moved down to the lady handing out ballots. There were three sets, one for city residents, one for something-I'm not sure what, and one for the county--that's me. Only thing was, there weren't any ballots for county residents. They looked and looked and couldnt find them. I suggested to the workers' boss he send someone to the nearest precint (just across the street) and borrow some. He "didn't know" where the nearest precinct was. I told him. Then he didn't have anyone to send. I said I'd go. Nope. Then the box you feed the ballot into jammed, and NO ONE could vote. People were backing up and milling around--it was a mess. I went home. Hubby stayed, and got home about 20 minutes later. The jammed box was un-jammed and they "found" the "missing" ballots in the box with the others where they were all along. I don't think it was anything sinister, but it sure was a nuisance. For whatever reason, nothing I posted yesterday went through... Strange! With this one "friend", I had hidden her earlier but wanted to give it another shot so I could see her stuff now and again (forgot why I hid her in the first place). I don't know what I did, but now all she posted got into my notifications. I did have her set to "follow", which is what I have my other friends set to as well, yet they only get on my notifications if I have commented on something (and similar), while for her, everything she did prompted a notification! I didn't mention the notifications part at first because it didn't dawn on me that this is why it became a problem. All her notifications were drowning out everything else. I think it has stopped now though. Hellion, I get what you're saying, but seriously, some people have no internet-social-skills and though I have over 200 friends on my friends list, only about two or three out of them are posting left and right about every thought that goes through their heads. Or they will share everything they saw that they found somewhat interesting. You can think "oh, cool!" and leave it to that, but don't share EVERYTHING that was cool or funny or cute with everyone! It's too much! I used to know how to simply hide these people, but now I can't figure it out. It makes for a much more pleasant experience to be on FB when these people aren't stuffing my newsfeed constantly. I seriously feel like I need to tidy up, just like when I organize a drawer at home.

it might be someone is trying to hack your account. this has been happening to my son the last few days. Someone told him to change his birthdate for a few days, then change it back. Don't know if he tried that or not.

seems to be the "norm" over there Patti...keep changing the pass everytime you log in,in the event it "is" a hacker

Change your password Patti...the same thing happened to me and my account was hacked.
I was prompted to sign in...even though I never signed out. Then a number of days later one of my friends was contacted thru chat stating that it was me, saying I was in London and please send money.
I reported it and my account was disabled until they looked into it.
Even if you just add a question mark or something at the end of your existing password...change it.

Did the message tell you your account was temporarily unavailable? I don't think that's a hacking thing; it's more of a giant pita. I couldn't access facebook for a day or two, and that's when I realized just how addicted to fb I am!

Had the same problem.So I went through yahoo and singed up again with new password and email address.so far so good.I really don"t like Face book but it's something to do.Takes all day just to figure it out!!!!
