Yes to #1 and #10....I do sprout stuff on the windowsill.

That's a pretty good article. I'm a 1 and a 10 and some of a few others.

Like everyone else (I think), I am also #10 and #1 and possibly a bit of #7, but mainly because of real allergies. I put 10 first because I do have herbs going constantly (and I used to grow lettuce), as well as fruit. However, I do not in any way consider myself to be extreme.

Lars

I see a little bit of each in me.....and a lot of #1 in my son!

Funny thing about Nutella, I think they've actually hurt sales by marketing it as "a nutritious spread to put on whole wheat toast, etc. (the etc. part never being explained.) I love the stuff, but every time I try to introduce it to my friends, they cringe. "Do you know what it is," I ask. "Of course. It's a nutritious spread..."

Hilarious! Thanks for sharing. I'll just settle for the wine.

I'm a 1, 9, & 10.

Made It Myself:
When neice or SIL had one of those food demo parties (Simply-something, I think) and RAVED about over-priced... IMNSHO... boxes of mixes and jars of blends... I went searching. Found knock-off recipes for beer bread and "nana's" apple cake... better than $5-6 mix and cost pennies.

Bacon Lover:
Neice and I have come close to growing SNOUTS on our "girls" weekends... BACON!!

DIY:
When making a HUGE messa REAL lemonade, had an inspiration when I thought of all that zest that I just didn't need right them. Stuck lemons on rarely used apple peeler/corer (sans the corer part) and ended up with a BIG pile of zest ribbons... for NUTHIN! Once REALLY dry (crispy), ground up to make real lemon pepper... not mostly salt like stuff ya pay big $ for in a jar.

For the LIFE of me, can't understand WHY anyone would buy "cinnamon sugar"??? Thinking of you even do minimal/basic cooking, ya probably have cinnamon in cabinet... just add some to some SUGAR, DUH!!

OK, I confess. I'm 1 and probably 2. I'd be 8 except I don't have the time or patience to blog. Definitely 10. Oh, and I like bacon and would happily eat from a food truck except that I've never seen one. Definitely don't have any in my county, my little town doesn't even have a coffee shop unless you count the gas station cappucino at the local Wesco!

klseiverd, I do agree, my would anyone buy cinnamon sugar? It's, well, cinnamon and sugar....

Annie

I have to admit to having bought Ponzu sauce, but that was before I learned that it was merely soy sauce plus lemon and/or lime juice.

We have some pretty good food trucks here, and one of my former clients now runs a Dosa truck selling Indian food. She told me about her plans to do that before we parted ways. We're still friends but have gone different ways in business and we also have mutual friends. There used to be a lot of tamale carts in MacArthur Park, but they don't seem to be around any more. At one time, you could go there and get tamales from every different Central American country. The tamales I get now are more like Nouvelle Cuisine and are not cheap! I used to make them myself, but now I think they are too much trouble.

Lars

I'm elbow deep in soaked chickpeas wondering why the heck I didn't just buy some hummus. And the bacon. Mmmm, bacon.

How funny!
I used to be 1 but have learned my lesson too many times. Still am 10 and probably always will be but mostly, I'm 2 Organivore, 7 Avoider (usually avoiding bad food- canned soup, cool whip...) and 6 Anti snob.
Of course, I live far, far away from any carts so it's meat an' 3's instead.

I'm a 1 and a 10 with a little 3 and 8 thrown in.
I had an interesting conversation with my 81 year old FIL the other day- he claims that all the fuss about different kinds (as in countries of origin) of chocolate and coffee is "bullsh--". This from the wine snob. (Rolls eyes.)

Nutella and bacon are both SO good I almost want to eat them together.

Funny article! I'm definitely a #1 and a bit of #10.....

thanks for posting it!

AM

I'm a 10, 6, and 1 in that order!!
Yup, sourdough starter sitting on the kitchen counter, homemade wine in two places visible from the living room and a cupboard full of sprouting seeds! woohoo.

When #1 kicks in, #10 can rescue me!

Deanna

I'm definitely 1, 9, 10 and occasionally when the stars are out of alignment I get obsessive and become a 2.

Definitely 10. Have bred resting, cabbage and rutabaga fermenting (started yesterday), fromagina cheese under press and sour cream in the oven under the oven light right now. And my windowsill is always packed :)
Olga

I'm a 1, a 2, and a wanna-be 10. I do grow some of my veggies, and have always dreamed of growing all my own food. Of course, that'll never happen.

The bacon thing is what changed my DD from a die-hard vegetarian to a meat eater. One day DS was cooking some bacon, and DD couldn't resist tasting it. It was a revelation to her, and she's eaten meat ever since - especially bacon!

Sally

I confess... 1, 2, 3, 4 & 10.
That's classic, Barnmom!
