Been without internet for months

But, back now. DH was in the hospital. He was hospitalized on Feb. 10th with shortness of breath. Found out he needed FOUR units of blood. Couple days later spiked a fever--cultures grew out Staph (BAD stuff), had FOUR weeks of antibiotic therapy in hospital. We about lost our minds! lol Running all sorts of tests and found out he has liver cancer. We're still deciding which path to take, as we have a couple options, including the #1 as liver transplant. We will meet with transplant team to see if we qualify. IF NOT, another option is to inject chemotherapy directly into the 5cm tumor. They're also neogotiating removing part of the liver with the tumor. SOOOO, we have a long road ahead of us. Guess God is testing us again! UGHHH~~~prayers please~??

10-6-2006...2 days ago I had gone through another day in my new world. Realizing that the date that day was 10-6-2006.3 months since i found my baby,my blue sky guy,gone...Just like that,laying on the floor,just as naked as the day he started his wonderful life on this earth.(forgive my blunt description) but all these images are relevant to my understanding of where my love is. death was never confusing to me before. One of my Favorite pasttimes is going to cemeteries taking pictures and reading every headstone.Scut would accompany me he loved what i loved, even my need to stop at every cemetery we passed. he would find a comfortable place or sit in the truck as i took pictures hoping to put together a book someday of all the cemeteries we had stopped at in Texas,Arkansas,Oklahoma,& Georgia. See My baby was a lineman.He always worked out of town or out of state.Anyway 11 yrs of him coming home every Thursday or Friday or Us (my young daughter and i) leaving on our ritualistic adventure to see the man we had grown to love & respect so deeply has ended. Without warning, the man I thought I would be buried beside was now laying on the floor in front of me.No time to hold him and cry. Had to wake his mother and tell her her son had died. Long story short his family took over and I have no where to visit,no where to grieve,He is everywhere I look but I cant find him.he is every moon every tree every cloud but I cant call him cant touch him.I ask god to let him come hold my hand one more time he doesnt.Will the answer to my heartache ever come will I ever understand where my baby went.

My first computer...a Tandy dinosaur bought around 1989/1990...was not internet "ready"...but that's the one I cut my teeth on. ;-) From there...to a top of the line Gateway desktop...and now an Asus Pundit Book End Tower...which I adore...replaces the Gateway that went boots up the day after my husband died. Best investment I've ever made as far as computers are concerned. It's a small, extremely quiet and clean, reliable workhorse. I've been on the internet...at differing levels of enthusiasm...for about 12 years. I've always used it as my major research tool but shied away from personal participation for a long, long time. I found the GW computer forum by accident a long while ago and participated there for a while. Then...my husband became ill and my computer time was slim, little and none. I discovered the KT...and was an active "lurker" for a long time before I worked up the courage to "get involved". I'm still not what I would consider an "active" participant...but I'm a daily "reader" who enjoys contributing when time allows. From all my years of internet observation...I have to add that the KT is the most congenial, caring and kind collection of "friends" that I've ever seen on the internet. It's a pleasure to spend part of my day here...whether I post or not. Anne

Sorry to hear of the loss of your boyfriend. My husband of 35 years passed away on Feb. 5, 2018. The grieving is a total roller coaster. The only advice can give you is to enjoy the memories and the good days, but be prepared for the sad depressive days. They come without warning...a smell, a taste something that suddenly triggers your mind and you are filled with sadness. I hope you find happiness in the future.

Welcome back Jamie. We have missed you. I'm sorry to hear the news about your DH. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. You have been through so much already. How are you doing? Last we heard, you had some medical issues as well. Sending you a hug.

Sending prayers and good thoughts and yes I went thru that several years ago when DH was diganosed with cancer, then had fluid etc. I thought the hospital was my retirment center for awhile. One day at a time. Prayers for the medical staff and family also.
