New dinnerware and granite--too silly?

I'm tired of my old Flora di Roma dinnerware, so I bought 2 new sets of plates etc. They're bright red and bright yellow. I had originally planned to get Supreme Gold granite (all black and gold), or Supreme Fantasy (black, gold, and silver), but fell in love with Aurora Borealis, which has BLUE. I also like Hurricane--blue, white, and gold.

So my silly question--should I worry about how the plates look on the new granite? Should I get the Supreme Gold or the Supreme Fantasy bc the plates will look fantastic on it, or the AB and have them clash horribly?? I do realize that the granite costs WAAAY more than the plates! Am I obsessing too much? I haven't written off the SG or SF, and I have two more granite places to visit. Cabinets will be natural cherry, which goes with all the granites I picked. All appliances will be stainless.

The island will be one vast (4.5' by 9'.8") slab, no cooktop or anything, with curved edges. The pendant lights are polished silver (Quoizel Century).

Thanks!
