Anyone have Blanco sink and faucet for their kitchen?

We are considering buying the Blancowave Plus 1 1/2 plus bowl undermount sink and the Blanco Classic pullout faucet. Does anyone have these in their kitchens? If so, can you please tell me if you like them? Would you buy them again?

I've had a Blanco Silgranite sink and the Blanco Modero faucet for about 2 years and have been happy with them.

I just had a Blanco Silgranite Cascade Sink installed or shall I say mounted to my granite. When DH went to hook up sink there was no room for GD! It was poor planning on my part. Had I thought of the deepness of the sink he could have easily re-routed pipes. Now I have a plumber here and a new whole in the drywall. I guess that would have never happened if I had hired a KD.Just wanted you to learn from my STUPID mistake.

Baquinn, I have a different Blanco sink, but it was large too. I have the equal double bowl undermount Performa (33 by 20 and 10 inches deep). Fortunately, my GC caught the specs and so we were able to ammend the plans prior to fabrication of the cabinet and counter. We did pull the sink base cabinet forward. Initially this was supposed to be a straight counter edge, but you can see the curve we put in to accommodate the sink. I am happy we did. I really like my big sinks. The larger sinks are another favorite thing about my renovation. I hand wash a lot of items, so this sink has made the job so much easier. On another note, everybody's renovations have their fair share of setbacks and frustrations. It's never smooth sailing. It's definitely a process and it will be complete one day and you will really enjoy it! If a large sink is a priority for you, don't settle on a smaller one just for time. There will be more than one hiccup and you want to have the kitchen you really want because you are the one who will be living with whatever decisions you come to. Hang in there!

I think the prices your friend has asked for are reasonable - even a good buy for the sink. I bought a floor model after the sink was discontinued for $580. At the time (almost a year ago) the best online price I could find was $676. Those deep sinks are expensive! I paid $38.50 for my sink grid on eBay but typical online price was $95. I haven't checked lately, but I think that grid is still available. My dishwasher is to the right of the sink, perpendicular to the sink counter, closest to the small sink with the disposer. My faucet is Blanco Anu. I love the high arc but find the pullout style awkward. Once pulled out, it is hard to aim the water spray where it is needed. I would suggest looking for a pulldown style, instead. (There's an active thread about pullout versus pulldown faucets that you may want to view, too.) I don't notice much splashing from the small sink. Rather, the tall faucet seems to splash more in the large sink and on the divide between the sinks. I don't find that a major problem - just a quick wipe with the sponge and all is neat again. The stainless does seem to show water spots easily. I've tried a couple of stainless cleaners and the Weimar polish seems to do the best job of preventing water spots. You do need to wipe off the water, though, when you are through using the sink. And our water is very hard.

I do not agree with Jb1176 about deeper sinks being an "installation nightmare". I have a 9" deep single-bowl rectangular sink with offset drain and a large Waste King batch feed disposal (batch feed disposals tend to be larger than continuous feed disposals). There was no problem whatsoever installing it, nor in its daily use. As JB said, you need to check that your plumbing outlet will be lower than the outlet on the disposal for drainage. You don't have to pay a plumber to check this - just look online at the specs of the disposal you want, and also make sure you include the thickness of your countertop when adding it to the height from the top of the disposal to the disposal's outlet. Also, Insinkerator makes a compact disposal for those who do not have a lot of room under their sinks. As to your two choices of sinks in your posting, I do not have either one, but I have read quite often on this forum of people undermounting sinks like that Blanco Diamond 511-653. Furthermore, the Blanco website says specifically for that model, "ideal for both drop-in and undermount installations". The two sinks seem to need different size cabinet bases (33" and 36"), so make sure you have included that factor in your decision. Both sinks have the offset drain feature you like, although the Precis drain is offset in the rear center, but that still means you can set pans down in the sink without covering the drain since it is offset. Another consideration would be that, aesthetically, the Precis model is very contemporary, while the Diamond 511-653 could go in either a contemporary or traditional kitchen. BTW, you linked the 511-653 at Home Depot where it costs $476, not including sales tax. At Homeclick.com, where you've linked the Precis sink, that 511-653 is selling much lower, for $308, free shipping. I've linked it below. I have a Blanco single-bowl SS sink and Blanco Aires faucet - installed and using them since January. Love them!

I like the way the sprayer on the Aires works - instead of a rubber button that you have to hold down, the whole top of the faucet is the sprayer "button" - I can hit it with the side of my hand while I'm holding other things, and it locks on. Then I can either turn it off manually, or it turns off automatically when I turn the water off.

I'm just back from a meeting with our kitchen designer and she is going to send me the price of the matching Blanco silgranit faucet for my Silgranit "cafe" sink...so I'm also curious to see if people like them.

Not only do I have both the Blanco sink AND the Classic loop handle pull out faucet but I love them sooooo much I'm buying them again for my weekend cottage.

I have a Blanco Silgranit sink in black and I love it. But i need to find a cleaner to use that is safe, to remove the hard water that builds up around the faucet. Any suggestions?

I have a BlancoWave Plus 1 1/2 stainless sink and love it. It is over 6 years old -- bought it when we first moved in. We are in the process of renovating the kitchen and I am reusing the sink. The thing we love about this sink is that we only have one sink and two of us can work at it at once. One of us can be washing / soaking pans in the large bowl and the other washing veggies in the small bowl. It works really well in a one sink kitchen.

We put the garbage disposal on the large side much to the chagrin of my contractor. It is the side that we use for cleaning pots and pans. BTW my large roasters and jelly roll pans sit flat in the bottom of the large sink which makes it great for soaking. We have never had issues (with dishwasher draining) as long as we keep the disposal clear.

No problems at all. This faucet, IMO, is really well made. I find it so easy to use. Pulls out effortlessly. Button on top to switch to the spray. Just push it back in place and it clicks in like magic. And I love how it looks with the loop handle. Very attractive.

I have the Blanco Classic pullout faucet installed on my cleanup sink installed over 4 years ago. I concur with buddyrose's assessment. It cleans up easily and works well. Even without the weight installed it stays in place. However ... I have a pull DOWN at the prep sink and it's just a better ergonomic fit. If I were doing it again I think I would get a pull down at the cleanup sink as well. But if you're committed to the pulldown, the Blanco Classic is a good value. My prep sink is the Blanco Rondo (about 16" round undermount). It too looks good and cleans up easily; I would get it again.
