Marci - I read Memoirs of a Geisha, Open House and started another book (title escapes me) on vacation. Memoirs was excellent, Open House was light and an easy read - which surprised me because it was an Oprah book and they are usually very heavy and deep. The 3rd book is a Nora Roberts it's the last of her In the Garden trilogy. Joanne - (((HUGS))) my heart goes out to your mom, you and your family - what a trying time for everyone. I am with you on working very hard to have a life for my children that in no way resembles my childhood - I have also tried to do the same for mine. Too bad about MIL - a fear like that has such an impact on your fun - my mom has similar fears and she misses out on much. We had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend the Dominican Republic to anyone that is interested. The resort we had reservations for bumped us and 40 other people out. They gave our rooms to a group that came. There is a real language barrier that they use to their advantage when necessary - so it is very hard to get an answer. But they bumped us to their sister resort which was gorgeous and we convinced them to upgrade us to their "Royal Services" which gave us our own pool, beach, restaurant for breakfast and lunch and a lot of little perks that we enjoyed. The weather was stunning, the beach went on forever with beautiful sand and turqoise water. The grounds were lush and the rooms were set in villas throughout, so each morning I took a 45 minute walk around the grounds. The rest of day was spent moving from the pool to the beach, reading, eating and drinking the most delicous pina coladas. We did walk in the evening too and I did swim a lot, so I got some exercise in. I planned on kayaking and horseback riding, but never did. The weather was about 85 everyday. We got home around midnight last night and I have a ton of laundry staring at me. So enjoy your day, I hope the best team wins and tomorrow day is DIET day for me. I am planning a week of soup and salads.

Hi all, Nice white fluffy snow here, hope it goes away soon I want to play some golf! :) Jen, I get tired of eggs too but I work nights so for breaky I can eat lunch or dinner meals too. If you like smoothies you can add some soft tofu to them and also use soy milk. I know that may sound horrible, but you really cant tell and all you end up with is a nice fruity creamy drink. Im not sure which Woe you are on, so you may have to adjust the other ingredients as well. They sell all kinds of soft tofu, even some low or no fat ones. Many cultures eat fish for their morning meal, so you could go that way too! ;) Amy - Im glad your having fun in game, and including your art work as well, how fun! I've tried to find the answer to your first question many times and basically found out that a plumber would have to make the determination if the waste drain needs to be lowered or not - which is a big project. A friend has the same sink as you describe with the GD in the smaller side. They did not have to lower their waste drain to accommodate a GD under the 8'' deep bowl.

Whether the depth will be an issue for you depends on height, arm length, how far back the sink is mounted from the edge of the counter, and type of installation (under or over mount). You cannot do much about the first two, so try one or more of the following: Mount the sink as close to the counter edge as possible...definitely no more than 3" if at all possible Get a sink grid...it lifts the bottom of the sink approx 1" (b/c the grid is approx 1" tall). If you need the extra inch, you can remove the grid...but at 10" deep, I doubt you'll need to. Get an over mount/drop-in sink. The true depth of an under mount sink is the sink's depth + the thickness of your countertop material. So, if you overmount/drop it in, you don't have that extra depth. However, an overmount/drop-in sink is not generally aesthetically pleasing! An overmount/drop-in can also be more difficult to keep clean b/c of the grunge that collects along the rim. Another option is a flush-mount where the sink is mounted flush with the surface of the counter...but I don't know much about it. Of the above, I recommend the first two and not the third. Others have used the included strainers and are satisfied, but I had used "standard" strainers all my life and didn't like the fact that they usually didn't seal and wouldn't stay open or closed. So, I spent extra $$ and got the DuoStrainer...it was highly recommended here at the time. I was not disappointed...the DuoStrainer is the best strainer I've ever had...solid & very functional.
