WOW... these truffles are to die for. I've already eaten 10 of them, and I can't stop. I wonder if I should save any for BF? Nah, he's still snoring, the UPS man didn't even phase him. Now, it's back to bed to finish my sleep, I gotta work at 2:30, where are those darned ear plugs? :o)

Nothing like a cardboard box filled with 'toys' to make a cat happy. I just bought a padded igloo and a squeaky toy for Bibi.

LOL oh and Costco started carrying those truffles in a much bigger box for an even better price!

Once I open a bag..I am in soooo much trouble..but they also make really delish hot chocolate...just heat your favorite "milk" and drop in a few until you are on chocolate truffle overload.

My UPS man usually comes in the afternoon...now the USPS and I have had to have a little chat about early morning doorbell rings. lol

Hey, Bobby, just got home and saw your post. Glad the box arrived and I'm so happy you enjoyed the surprise--okay, maybe not the wakeup call ha ha!

Wasn't it clever that I sent the box and peanuts just for Jasper? There were some sheets of paper in the box as well--they can be torn and rolled up into teeny tiny balls and you can see if Jasper is interested in playing with them.

Looks like there is a whole new thread devoted to sherry recipes, just for you, Bobby! Way to go!

I am so glad I could send you some sherry and introduce you to a few faves from Trader Joe's. As for those truffles, they only carry them at Xmas time. Dang, they rank up there as one of the top ten things I love to put in my mouth--okay I'm not quite saying that right, but you know the thread!

Maybe your BF could take a pix of you and the first dish you make with sherry!

Deanna, the truffles didn't keep me awake... that job was taken by the man snoring like a buzz saw on the other side of the bed. Geez, I had to shove some ear plugs in his nose and put tape over his mouth just to get some sleep. >:-)

He did wake up later and catch me chowing down on the truffles. I shared, but only two of them... then I took the box back and said that was all he got! I plopped a plate of nuked chorizo sausage down in his lap and took the box of truffles with me to work. :o)

Yes, Sooz, was very nice to include all the "extras" for Jasper! You're so thoughtful! I know you have requested me to post a picture of me cooking with the sherry, so I'll make something good from the recipes I get other threads and post them during bf's next visit. Small price to pay for all the goodies and kindness you've given to me. Your handrwitten note with tips on the back of the ginger mix was nice... those are good tips, and you have nice writing too! LOL :o)

To be fair, Sooz coined the phrase "Booze from Sooz" in an e-mail, so I can't take credit for the cleverness there.

Those truffles are great, and what a cool (or hot) tip from Terri to add them to heated milk.
