LOL, I am crying over here....

Eric is watching TV so I am reading the KT keeper threads. The bidet conversation has me crying- when I reached this line, Eric had to check and make sure I was okay....

I mean, if your hemorrhoids get a blast of cold water, they're going to run back inside and hide behind your ovaries to get warmed up. That could be painful.

And I am wondering if Ginger EVER got the lizard poop off of her pot lids?????

Just told Eric that is I took a "shot of NyQuil" (Just took benedryl for cough/sneeze allergy outbreak) I would be laughing so hard I would pee on myself sitting here reading all of this.

Yeah, but the plantain is all going to seed now. And I can see what happens if that's allowed... there are some vast mats of plantain babies in places where that happened earlier. I want to get them before that happens this week! Believe me, I don't want to do marathon lawn weeding either. I have a 1000 sf veg garden and lots of perennial beds I already have to stay on top of :(

Thanks for the well wishes guys, I think the test went OK, in my earlier rant I left out the weird dreams I had last night about the test, my daughter got a big kick out of them. As for my daughters eye it was just as we thought. I think she is some sort freak of nature (she would actually like being called that) Both of my girls had chicken pox twice. Now my 15 year actually has herpes simplex in her eye. Since she got it in middle school we have always called it chicken pox since it is the same virus and you know how middle schoolers can be, I don't know that high schoolers are much different. Tomorrow I get to go talk to the school cause she has to use eye drops every 2 hours. And with their no tolerance for drugs she can't carry her eye drops with out getting in trouble, we have already been in trouble once for tylenol so a second offense no matter how benign it is will get her suspended. They also put her back on her acyclovir last time she took it for a year. Last New Years Day was the last time she took any meds. We caught it much earlier this time so hopefully she won't have to take the meds as long. She wasn't as upset this time last time she cried for hours, the doctor we went to immediately started talking about a cornea transplant. We have since switched doctors, one that actually talks to her before he talks to me and even remembered what instrument she plays in the band, and every time I see him at the hospital he ask about her. It is so nice to have a doctor that actually cares about his patient. Mary

Oh, KYgirl--Big hugs coming from me, too. I haven't been on his forum in a while because I've been dealing with our own build from He$$, and I didn't read all the responses in this thread, but I did read your original post. We've just gone through something very, very similar--different problems, but similar in scope, jerk of a builder, almost no on-site supervision, several horrible subs, lots of stress and tears. It has been horrible. We ended up moving into our house ten days ago while it was still unfinished because of having to be out of our rental, reaching our bank deadline for closing, etc. I just wrote you a long post, but realized that it ended up being about me, not you--and this is your thread! So, I guess I just want to say that I sympathize with you, and I think I understand a lot of what you must be feeling. It's a good day if I haven't cried more than once before 9 a.m.! This has been the most stressful, unpleasant experience of our lives. Friends will say, "Oh, you must be so excited to be in your house," and I feel like a spoiled brat if I don't respond positively. It has been a nightmare. There's still lots to be done here, dh and I are doing and/or redoing stuff that we've already paid contractors to do, but they either did a crappy job or haven't been showing up. It just sucks. As badly as I feel for you, reading your post at least made me feel as though I'm not the only one who has gone through this and I thought you might want to know you're not alone. The old misery loves company routine, I guess! Take care of yourself, and try not to let it get you down--I know how hard it is, but if we don't look at the positive side, we'll go completely crazy. Although, at least you could then plead insanity when you're charged with killing Mr. Peanut!

Hi musicteacher- so sorry to hear about your soapstone. I live in the Houston area and found my soapstone alternative at MSI... what they don't have is well.... they have just about everthing. I think you have an MSI in Farmer's Branch, on Valley Branch Lane. These big warehouses are always getting new stock, and I am thinking you may find something more wonderful as a result of all your troubles. I used Virginia Mist on my perimeter when my saleslady demonstrated the fragility of the soapstone I was headed for. I was so set on the color and the feel of soapstone, but the honed mist was an eye opener. Still, you should get exactly what you love. Wait a few days and go and see what the boat has brought in. In Houston, it comes right in from all over the world through the ship channel. Best wishes... keep on making music.

RIP Dottie..you are one special lady.

In the old days here...I would be up until 2-3 in the morning as we would be partying at the KT. You couldn't read and refresh fast enough.

We also need a new "Lucy Moments".

I still wish I could find the Tickle Me Elmo thread form the household disasters forum way back in the late 1990s. I did not have my own computer then but printed the thread out at work. The paper copy eventually disintegrated. Oh, my was it FUNNY!

I was just thinking about how much fun we used to have here.....remember Pat Lavender and FrancEs?
Loved Marlon's posts, especially about celebrating 4th of July.

I miss the good old days when we had regularly scheduled chats, twice a week. DH told friends and family that I couldn't be disturbed cuz I was at a "hen party".

It hurts that so many wonderful friends have left the table because of a few mean-spirited people. I guess their mothers never told them "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything"...or they never learned the Golden Rule.

I'm staying right here, and hope that someday the bad guys will leave and the good guys will come back.

I remember when I was about 8, my parents decided to move and took me house-hunting. One of the houses had a toilet and a bidet, right next to each other. I couldn't figure it out.
