My first, middle and maiden name are Irish. Since we had such an Irish last name, my mother gave all 4 of us kids very Irish first names. My married name is German.

My daughter married Scotch-Irish, and her youngest has a very Irish first name and middle name as well. Her older son has a name his father picked out that's not Irish.

My maiden name is Eastern European (translated it means "street singer"). My first name, Nora, is Irish. My mother didn't intend it that way, though, because she named me after the main character in Ibsen's "A Doll's House".

My daughter's best friend (roommate) is named "Kaycie O'XXXXXX " pronounced Casey. I used x's to obscure her definitely Irish last name. My own last name is extremely German and difficult to pronounce. I should have kept my maiden name, it was very White Anglo-Saxon and sounded like a movie star name. People used to ask if I was related to a certain movie star of the 50's and 60's. I sometimes answered yes, which was a lie.

Last name is McH..., both sets of grands on both sides came from Ireland and still have relatives over there...Our kids are James,Christopher, Kathleen, Kevin and Terrance Patrick...And the fur-babies are Clancy, Kalley and Kelly....Just a wee bit of Irish, don't you think?
