Cooking mistake

Back in October I had several people over to watch part of the World Equestrian Games and decided it should be a potluck where you bring a dish from one of the countries represented at the World Equestrian Games. I chose to make a couple of dishes from Brazil: Moqueca (a Brazilian Fish Stew) and Feijoada (a Black Bean Stew) which were both a big hit. Several people asked for the recipe(s) as they were leaving, and since I happened to have a printout of the Feijoada recipe on hand, I gave the recipe to one of the guests.

Well, this past week we went to a dinner party at her house and she said that she had made the recipe a few weeks ago, but was unfamilar with one ingredient: "Canned Chipotle peppers in Adobo sauce" and misread the amount to use.

Although the recipe calls for 1/4 of a 6 oz can (about two peppers, from which I usually remove the seeds) she used two whole cans of peppers, seeds and all, and pureed them in a blender before adding them.

Her husband said he took one bite and felt his head was going to explode.
