U like wine? U like cake?

This is not my recipe, but friend made this for our luncheon Monday, and everyone went absolutely wild over it. Her plate was empty when she went home. Everyone wanted the recipe, and here it is.

Blackberry Wine Pound cake

1 pkg white or yellow cake mix

1/2 cup cooking oil

3 oz package blackberry jello(or grape)

1 Cup Mogen David Blackberry Wine

4 eggs

1/2 cup chopped pecans

GLAZE RECIPE INGREDIENTS

1 stick butter

1/2 cup Mogen David Blackberry Wine

1 cup powdered sugar

Directions

Grease & flour bundt pan.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Mix all the above ingredients together and pour into bundt or tube pan.

Bake for 45 minutes or when cake tests done.

When cake is done, remove from oven but not from pan.

Pour half of glaze over the cake immediately.

Wait for 30 minutes, take cake out of the pan.

Invert onto cake plate.

Pour the other half of glaze over the cake.

Hmmmmm Arbor Mist has something similar to Mogan David, wonder if I could use that?

We have a U Line Echelon ust installed a month or so ago. So far we're quite happy. It looks good, with a custom panel surrounding the glass portion of the door. The capacity is good, with two racks for wine bottles and three shelves for cans etc. Runs relatively quietly--for perspective, louder than our Therm columns, which are incredibly quiet, but about the same as the Miele Excella DWs when they run. Dislikes: the plastic inside is not the most luxurious stuff I've seen, metal would have been nice but that's why it was less than the SZ I presume. Overall a good choice for us to date. BTW: one of the biggest reasons we chose it was an earlier GW post on customer service. Definitely read this thread, it's near inspirational! I don't know why you would have to send them to your computer first, unless you wanted to do some editing on them. You should be able to upload them directly from your iPad.

Love Hawthorne Yellow! Be aware, however, that your chip in the photo above is horizontal. The color is darker when on a vertical surface---and of course the light in the room can make it look anything from a screaming yellow to a soft butter. It's in my MBR, so I see it in all lights. So I would try the color first in the room and see it in all lights at all times of day before you choose. It's a beautiful color and I think it would be fantastic in a kitchen.

Nope not me,i have the Ames roll along cart.It's great for sitting on and rolling yourself around the gardens,and has storage for all those hand tool under the seat.Works for me!! Kathi

Glenda, that sounds delicious. I saved the recipe. What did you take to the luncheon? You may have already posted, but I haven't been here much the past few days and I didn't see it. ....yardwork, doctors' appointments, scrapbooking, etc.

Linda, I made
Pesto Appetizer Square and it was really really good.
I halved the recipe and baked in a square pyrex dish.
The batter is very thick, so you have to spread it.

Pesto Appetizer Squares
4 cups Original BisquickÂ® mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1/3 cup pesto
Marinara sauce

1. Heat oven to 375ÂºF. Grease rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.
2. Stir together all ingredients except marinara sauce. Spread in pan.
3. Bake 25 to 30 minutes OR LESS or until lightly brown. Cool slightly; cut into 2-inch squares. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
