does this cookie crust recipe sound right?

1 1/2 cups vanilla wafer cookie crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and 6 Tablespoons of melted butter. Mix, press into a 9" pie plate, bake at 375 for 7 minutes, then cool.

I had never made one before. I took it out of the oven a few minutes ago and it seems soft and greasy. It also shrunk some, so it's not as far up the sides of the pan as it was before I baked it. Is that normal? Will it stiffen up by the time it cools?

I'm making a no-bake peanut butter pie. Will it matter that the crust isn't all the way up the sides of the pan, and the filling will be? Or should I make the pie thinner, so the filling will not be higher than the crust?
