Sorry, nope, west is pointing straight at the camera, you're look straight east. North is left. Plus, we sit on a ridge, so it gets cold. Last year when it got really cold I had 5 heaters going (had plastic up to cut it down to 16' x 8') and still lost a few plants. I guess I'm going to splurge and buy a big propane heater like Tom has... I just hate spending that kind of money to heat a greenhouse. Thanks Kevin... NO WAY am I growing 5000, I've got my preliminary count at 3800 and I'm trying to get it under 3000... And nope, not a compost pile. we had a big maple behind the house, it had a diameter of around 4-5', but the last few years of drought took it's toll and it died, that's some of it's remains. I had the guys leave some of the chips for me to use as mulch... :-( I'd rather have the tree. Pam

Linda, I have that sharpener too. It seems to work fine for me, nothing special. Just a few swipes through it and the knife almost cuts tomatoes by itself!! Maybe because the blades are 'so far gone', it doesn't work as well?? I would certainly think you could take them to a local place and they can put a new edge on them. What's the worst that could happen? They're not any better and you could send them back to Cutco.... Maybe it's time to "gift" the church with some "nice" cutting boards. (grin) Stacy, it's probably a good thing I don't live so close to Cutco........I can't afford to live close.... I really like these knives. They may not be 'top of the line', but they sure work well for me. Deanna

Well, now Auntie Teresa is bragging not a little but a lot! I just had some of the G three sauce, served WARM, on a piece of steak and I have to say, with pride, he has nailed his mom's recipe! I'll be very honest with you that I had my doubts the sauce could taste as good as the original recipe, but it was delicious and just as I remembered. The secret to this sauce is warming it before serving with the meat or as I did, have it in a little pitcher to serve. Either simmer a large amount in a saucepan on the stove or grill, or gently warm it in the microwave for a short period of time. At the very bottom of the directions, it does say "Serve Hot." A proud auntie

AWESOME! i love hearing of kids who are happily excelling in sciences! college costs will always go up, hopefully the university uses them to further education and the status of the university's programs. my dh has been fulltime at Univ central FL since 2007 and tuition has gone up 25% w/ another 15% increase for this fall and it is still nationally ranked as a good buy in colleges. his mechanical engineering program has tremendous industry support (both $$$ & thru teaching) so we are o.k. w/ increases. the univ has gone from 5th largest in this country to 3rd in 2 yrs, plus the engineering dept is nationally well ranked, very important for future jobs. in the long run when you are in programs that can all but guarantee a very high salary, the costs to get there are fractional. my dh has now known 3 yrs worth of graduating friends and not a single one had to go to graduation w/o atleast a couple of job offers to choose from which is in the end the most important result of education IMO. you should be very proud, his successes reflect very well on you mom! ~ liz
