newbie canning, habanero jelly questions!

Well, that darn habanero gold recipe just keeps popping up here, doesn't it? So I must try it; it's exactly the sort of thing my dad would eat with...a spoon.

I've never canned anything. Looks like a good place to start.

Any recommendations for jars? Just the regular old half-pint mason jars? And a stockpot with something on the bottom?

As far as the recipe itself, do the habaneros make it very spicy? If one wanted it extremely brutally spicy, would leaving the seeds and membranes be adequate, or should one use a blend of spicier peppers?

Thanks for any direction. :)

Sheesh I'm so clueless I'm not even sure what to ask! Probably time to visit the harvest forum?
