I first had chicken with tortilla dumplings when my BIL made it and shared when we were in the mountains. I have his recipe, but I don't recall making it. I do recall it was really good, though. Very kind of your friend to think of you, wasn't it? (Being you've been having car problems.)

Just finished another breakfast for dinner! LOL
Ham, eggs and homefries and toast. I have ham that needs to be used up.

Not too hungry here so just had a big glass of milk and some toast. It has been another beautiful day here near 80 at least. My forsythia and daffodils are really in full bloom.

I am making some cabbage soup....just had a hankering for it, and it's nearly ready.

We had breakfast last night. I don't have much of an appetite in the morning, but it sure tasted good at night!

I made those peanut butter cup blond brownies this afternoon. Very good!

Had leftover veggie pizza.

Made DH goulash for supper. Today at the restaurant I made corn beef and cabbage. We do the senior meals on wheels and we wanted to have it for them and we don't do it on weekends and on we have some catholics who won't eat
meat on Fridays so we had it today. It was very good.
the boys basketball team from that town also are at state tournaments so we won't be busy Saturday anyway.

Schoolhouse, I like veggie pizza with spinach and mushrooms. What did you have on yours?

Bengardening, I love the smell of corned beef cooking. That was nice to make it early for your meals-on-wheels people. Bet they sure enjoyed it. How in the world do you cook all day and go home and cook some more?

patti it was an all veggie pizza from East of Chicago - tomatoes,black and green olives,onions,green peppers (no banana peppers, personal preference) and double cheese. I also like their taco pizzas.

Emi cooked last night (as usual, on Thursdays) and she made a Bacon Cheeseburger casserole that was just scrumptious! I'm not sure if this link is to the same recipe or not, but it looks to be pretty much identical.

She did put more bacon in.... said she didn't want to 'waste' the rest of the package, as if we ever wasted bacon around here! So it was full of fat and salt... why wouldn't it be scrumptious? She also added a little seasoned salt and garlic and she didn't mix her cheese in with the rest of the ingredients. She baked it until the tator tots were golden, then put the cheese on top and put it back in the oven til the cheese melted.

That girl is becoming an EXCELLENT cook! :-)

Schoolhouse, that sounds so good--I never think to put olives on mine. Don't know why because we like them. I love taco pizza. We used to get it at Pizza Hut, back in the days when Pizza Hut actually had good pizza.

Jel48, I read the recipe and it does sound like a cheeseburger, doesn't it? I make a similar pasta dish. It's just bacon fried, onion sauteed in the bacon fat, cooked spaghetti and ketchup. It's delicious, too. Don't eat it often, of course. But we sure enjoy it when I do.

Happy hubby last night - I made stuffed bell peppers. Don't make them often, because I don't care for green peppers.

One of his favorites is Taco Pizza. Will have to make that soon.

Tonight will be meatloaf. Tomorrow, corned beef, cabbage and potatoes.
