Oh, Ms. Luna, I'm so glad I am not the only one to talk to their car. I have named mine Miss Margaret, but call her Miss Maggie when she's in a spunky mood (in short galloping down the road rather than ambling and yes, I pat mine on the dash board when we make it through a tough spot or keep encouraging her with "You can make it, come on girl." I've always said that machines truly have minds of their own with a little mischief thrown in for good measure. Glad you made it home safe and sound. Please give "Bess" an ATTA GIRL for me. Kirk, hope you guys are beginning to thaw out up in the northwest. Loved the plate flowers on the other posting. Well, in Eagle River we only ended up with 2", but 16 miles south at my brother's he got 12". Go figure. It's beautiful, but I'm still not ready. I think the snow should start on 1 December and only come at night after I'm home. I have a plan: Summer starts 1 June, and it only rains at night. Temps should be between 70 and 85. Fall starts 1 October. Again, it can only rain at night, and the colored leaves have to stay on until Winter begins. Temps between 60 and 70. Winter starts on 1 December. It can only snow once I'm home for the day, and temps are between 10 and 35. Spring starts promptly on 1 April. It only rains at night, and the temps are 60 to 70. What do you all think of this plan? SE Wisc: Someone turned of the "snow switch" at 3 pm this afternoon. The forecasters are predicting 4 to 6 inches. I know it will be more than 4 inches becasue we have that much right now. Its messy to deal with, but we need the gound moisture. It'll be good for the winter wheat and hay grasses planted last fall. My backyard deer herd appeared early this evening to brouse. They usually come around at midnight or later. Today, they apeared at 5 pm - it was almost dark and snowing. There are 7 in this herd and all came out tonight. Often, only a few at a time apear in the open with the others staying under cover.

Snow ?? All we are getting is rain but then if we get one good snow a year, we are lucky and the entire upper half of the state shuts down! I am just south of Atlanta in GA. We did have a few sprinkles one day last week and also some sleet but no snow on the ground. Y'all take lots of pictures so you can scrap them! We don't get to do too many snow pages. But more than that, please be careful and have blankets in your vehicle if you travel. Rebecca

Its 15 degrees in ND and wall to wall sunshine! Feels good cause it was -5 this morning.

Kat, they've been saying we'll have snow in Portland tonight, tomorrow and Monday. Everyone I talk to is praying it won't happen. I actually hope it does!

Somehow Toronto missed the big storms that hit the US last week - I was sure we would get it when New York did. Last winter we had our biggest snow storm of the year the day spring break started - many people were stuck at the Toronto airport for 3 or 4 days - and to say that we received our heaviest snowfall says something because there was no where to put it. I am expecting a huge storm some time over the coming weeks - so far not in forecast, but it will happen. We have had too much snow this winter already.

it snowed with sun breaks ALL day!
and was snowing hard around 7pm... but stopped. This morn there was just enough to make things pretty and white. Now the sun is out, but it snows for half and hour, then the sun comes out. since 530am this morn! lol
