Hows the weather in your neck of the woods? Here in Chicago we are getting clobbered, and their calling for a major blizzard later tonight 18 in. or more, oh fun!! Sure does look pretty though, and my dog loves to play in it especially when I throw a shovel of snow at her LOL.

I live in Tracy, California and it's cloudy (looks like rain). Not very exciting.

Snow sounds like more fun right now !

Hi, I live in Michigan, in the thumb. We are also getting
lots of snow with blizzard conditions. The media is advising no one to venture out unless absolutely necessary.
Hopefully, I won't have to work tomorrow and just stay inside scrapbooking!

Welcome to the forum canuckeh! I am one of those GJers who loves the plate flowers. There are a number of posts about them and several ways to make them. If you type in glass plate flowers in the search bar at the bottom of the page, you'll get lots of posts. You can either drill the plates or glue them together with GE Silicone II for glass. I do make mine indoors and haven't been bothered by odor from the silicone. Give the search a try and if you don't find what you're looking for, I'll try and post some more instructions--or at least the way I do them!

Thanks Northerner - better go measure those containers. I think they might just make it but we'll see - no point in taking up space in my collection box!! Actually, I found Trudi right off the hop! Her article was one of the first things I read. I've been bouncing back and forth between the Canadian WS and the WS forums. It has become my nightly reading. What a wealth of information! Hopefully I'll be done by the time I'm ready to get started planting. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for all you experts out there. And you're right - you all sound like a wonderful bunch - I'm looking forward to lots of feedback! Finally...someone to understand me! The family is already giving me the, "Now what is she doing" looks. Just wait - I'll show 'em! Stay warm!!

Love that card, Janice! I went to college with someone who grew up in Florida-he had never seen snow. Too funny. I grew up in Pennsylvania, so we had plenty. I still love it. Hoping for a snow day from school tomorrow and maybe Tuesday as well! DS is driving back to our area today. He was in Denver to visit his best friend and couldn't fly back since the air port is closed. He's in Ohio now. He can't wait to get home to see the snow. He stopped for a snow shovel up there somewhere-his girlfriend is snowed in. She can't even open the storm door. We aren't often this lucky. DH is shoveling a path to the street even though I contracted with someone to clear our drive and sidewalks this year. I doubt he was expected such a large snowfall. Wonder if he will get here. No worries if not, I am snug and cozy inside.

Looking at the news about the monster storm back east, I think the people there will have a tough time. At least, they have had plenty of warning so they can do the best they can under the circumstances. Our weather here in the valley has been glorious, 70+ during the day and about 40 at night. I would like some rain, but there is nothing I can do about that, so I enjoy the weather while it is here.

In South Dakota, it is 20 degrees below wind chill. We have a little snow.

Brrr that's pretty cold! Your pages are really nice, they have made a lot of progress on the Chief, we were there several times, the last time was 6 years ago, beautiful country!

Snow ?? All we are getting is rain but then if we get one good snow a year, we are lucky and the entire upper half of the state shuts down! I am just south of Atlanta in GA. We did have a few sprinkles one day last week and also some sleet but no snow on the ground.

Y'all take lots of pictures so you can scrap them! We don't get to do too many snow pages. But more than that, please be careful and have blankets in your vehicle if you travel.

Just moved from Atlanta (Marietta) to Florida. While we didn't get much snow in Marietta we could usually count on one good snowfall a year and Rebecca is right - the whole area shuts down! My children keep asking when the snow will come here in Tampa - they are VERY disappointed with none. I had to turn my A/C back on the other day because we are very humid and mid to high 70's.
