It's pretty, but i can send you all snow that is directing to Seattle area. Lol. My prayer is completely opposite: "Let it no Snow... Let it no snow...". Snow here is a complete disaster with all hills around it's impossible to drive. Last year i had couple long days of waiting when my dears spent hours and hours in traffic because of snow. I love snow and I hate snow.

LOL! Yeah I know some parts of downtown Seattle are like San Fransisco! Hills Hills! We live up on a hill too and there's been times we've had to leave the car at the bottom and walk up :O

Snow is pretty, but we are having ice, ice and ice three days in a row. It's treacherous for walkers. :-(

Well, okay, Friday at rush hour, it was actually snow but the town did absolutely nothing to clear the roads, so with all the traffic it became two inches of packed ice. What a mess! Lots of hills here too - I live about 1/2 mile from a state park with "mountain" in the name, lol!

Rain in the forecast for the next ten days, and with temps hovering around freezing, that makes for the possibility of lots more ice. Sigh.

Sure does look pretty, though, Vera. I love snow - if I don't have to drive in it! Which unfortunately, doesn't happen much - seems I always have to drive somewhere when it snows!

Vera, I appreciate your excitement and I'd share it any other time....

But I have to second Galcho....many are still without power here on the coast so if you can't do a melt dance, at least pray for winds other than from the E for us.

I love a pretty snow, and I don't even mind driving in it with my 4-wheel drive - just not now when we are still beaten/blown to shreds :)

I did later notice the ice storms thru the midwest and had my DH call his mother (in Nebraska)and make sure she was Ok!! Ice storms are no fun; our last one was in '95 Spokane and we had no heat or electricity for 2 weeks!

Yes, I've seen the news about the icy midwest. My heart really goes out to those folks without power to even keep warm.

Fortunately, it has all been rain in my part of the "eastern midwest". According to the weather channel we have had 7 to 8 inches of rain in the past week, with more on the way for the next few days. I normally hate dreary weather like this but in light of the drought last summer I am grateful for every bit of it.

We had an incredible ice storm last winter. It took my husband 4 hours to drive home from his office which is around 15 miles away. Traffic was so bad he had to stop at a gas station to pee!

After the storm it was sunny but stayed very cold and I lived in a winter wonderland for several days. Pictures can't so it justice, but my maple tree at that time:

Gee, I've gotta jump back in here and say that the ice we've gotten here in CT is NOTHING compared to what the midwest is getting, so I suppose I shouldn't complain. While we've had spots of weather that were dangerous and stressful to drive in, we've had nothing of the scale of the midwestern storms.

I suppose a sheet of ice is a sheet of ice, especially if you lose control of your car on it, but I can't complain when the folks out west are in such worse condition than I am.
