Hi everyone! :) Alot of us have started our snowy weather and I for one am so happy it is here! I woke up this morning to a white,crisp,refreshing view! So I figured this would be a great opportunity to see some other snowy views and share mine! :)So if you have any snowy pics to share...let's see them!:)

Angie,

I am so glad to see you posting and sharing pics after all your computer woes.

It is 28 here with the wind making it a wind chill of 20 degrees. I want snow if it's gonna be that cold.

Thank you both for sharing your wonderful snow pics! I hope to have some later, just not sure when.

Welcome to the forum canuckeh! I am one of those GJers who loves the plate flowers. There are a number of posts about them and several ways to make them. If you type in glass plate flowers in the search bar at the bottom of the page, you'll get lots of posts. You can either drill the plates or glue them together with GE Silicone II for glass. I do make mine indoors and haven't been bothered by odor from the silicone. Give the search a try and if you don't find what you're looking for, I'll try and post some more instructions--or at least the way I do them!

Thanks Northerner - better go measure those containers. I think they might just make it but we'll see - no point in taking up space in my collection box!! Actually, I found Trudi right off the hop! Her article was one of the first things I read. I've been bouncing back and forth between the Canadian WS and the WS forums. It has become my nightly reading. What a wealth of information! Hopefully I'll be done by the time I'm ready to get started planting. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for all you experts out there. And you're right - you all sound like a wonderful bunch - I'm looking forward to lots of feedback! Finally...someone to understand me! The family is already giving me the, "Now what is she doing" looks. Just wait - I'll show 'em! Stay warm!!

Snow ?? All we are getting is rain but then if we get one good snow a year, we are lucky and the entire upper half of the state shuts down! I am just south of Atlanta in GA. We did have a few sprinkles one day last week and also some sleet but no snow on the ground. Y'all take lots of pictures so you can scrap them! We don't get to do too many snow pages. But more than that, please be careful and have blankets in your vehicle if you travel. Rebecca

Looking at the news about the monster storm back east, I think the people there will have a tough time. At least, they have had plenty of warning so they can do the best they can under the circumstances. Our weather here in the valley has been glorious, 70+ during the day and about 40 at night. I would like some rain, but there is nothing I can do about that, so I enjoy the weather while it is here.

Clean those steps before you fall. LoL another winter snow bunny. Great pictures. It looks like you got more snow. The storm missed us yahoo. Hostas are taking forever to get their second leaves. I want to get them in their jiffy pots. Have a great weekend. Barb

lol....we dont use those steps...we have 2 entrances and I prefer to use the kitchen entrance,you would be surprised how many people will still choose the set of steps wth snow on them opposed to the clear ones...lol...hmmm....let's see...we have one set of steps covered in a few inches of snow and one that has been shoveled and salted...which will I choose?...Oh I guess I'll choose the snow covered ones....lol...sometimes people worry me! ...lol...:)
