It's called: The Way

My brother brought a DVD of that movie on a recent visit. I loved it. The movie mentions that it is partially based on the book "Off the Road: A Modern-Day Walk Down The Pilgrim's Route Into Spain", after watching the movie I was inspired to read the book, and it is clear that some of the vignettes in the movie were drawn from the book, which is the author's real life experiences hiking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. However I think that overall the story in the movie is better than the book it is loosely based upon.

I've seen that one, Moni, and it is very good. Wouldn't you love to do that? You could ride your bike!

I have noticed our Netflix mailings seems a little slower then normal. I only notice it because they have always been so fast in the past? But we are about to cancel our membership. For one, I am peeved about the price jump and two, we just don't watch movies that much. We have 2 little girls and 95% of movies we need to watch after they are in bed. By the time we've put them to bed, cleaned up and watched the news, we're asleep! But I will say, their customer service phone line has been great in the past. 24 hours a day!! Can't beat that!

Over Christmas, we were visiting family in Connecticut, and one evening right as dinner was nearly finished their son had a sledding accident and had to go to the emergency room for stitches. They suggested that we watch a movie on NetFlix while they were off at the hospital. We thought of 10 somewhat recent movies that we might want to watch. None were available via streaming. We thought of 10 more not-recent-at-all movies, none were available. We finally found some website that had a list of the 50 best movies that actually are available through NetFlix, about 48 of them either we had already seen, or we had no interest in. Additionally we were frustrated by their search interface: we initially searched for Casino Royale, and it returned the 1969? film of the same name, followed by page after page of other movies that happened to mention Casino or Royal somewhere in their title, or description, or synopsis. Eventually I figured out that they were just trying to avoid calling attention to their less-than-full-coverage of the movie spectrum, by returning any match on the supplied search, no matter how irrelevant that movie might be, and in general guiding you toward the browse interface.

Hubby loved Damages. I hadn't seen it, that's one we could put on our watch list, now that Scandal is finished. We're still riveted with Blacklist and we also really like Homeland. Rizzoli and Isles we love as well! It's good for a "lighter" show. Harry's Law was also terrific, and I only saw a few of the shows at the end. Hmmmm another one on the must-watch list.

Powermuffin, I did try watching some on youtube. I started with one I found that would have been the first episode, I believe. But the voices were all dubbed with a male voice and it was just weird, lol. I wondered if the host on that early episode was the host on there now, but he looked so young and he had hair! totally different look.

We saw it a couple of years ago and enjoyed it quite a bit. I thought that Sheen did a great job in the role.

I've heard of this movie, it's based on a true story. Must watch it. I saw the preview for it quite a while back.

ETA: apparently not based on a true story, but Emilio came up with the idea for this movie when he did the walk.

Here is a link that might be useful: The Walk

I will add it to my Watch list. I have mostly been disappointed with the choice of movies on streaming Netflix. I've caught up on some tv series and love Orange Is The New Black. I've been watching House of Cards. It's okay, very dark.

Thank for the recommendation!
