paint colour for 100 yr old home

Well, we've got to paint this summer and I think I've saved enough to pay for it. Last time we painted was 10 years ago and I went nuts trying to decide on a colour. Eventually, I just went with what was safe (another house on the block was painted grey/blue and I liked it okay).

Now I'm a little more clear on my decor style and I'm pretty set on a brown. I'm thinking of either grey browns or dark caramel.

We've just replaced the 2nd story plate glass window with 3 historically correct sash windows.

While it's easy to find pictures of colours on house interiors, I find it hard to find pics of exteriors.

I have the Benjamin Moore colour samples and like Jamesboro gold and crownsville gray. Any thoughts or suggestions for other colours? What about painting out some of the white trim on the porches?
