My new bathroom sink faucet!

Well, I don't generally splurge for myself, but did this time.

Lowe's came and installed this morning!

Mighty pleased!

Bathroom sink faucet and drain mismatch? I think I screwed up

Thank you. The guy at the plumbing supply store said that too, that in his experience, you want the water to hit on the back side of the drain in a bathroom sink. If it hits the drain directly, the splash will be much worse. I think because in the This Old House video the guy makes a point of saying that the faucet water lines up with the drain that I thought something was off. Still, it does splash up to the handles more than I'd like, and the pressure is weak, but I guess that is a function of "new" faucets, idk. This was the third sort-of blunder (except this really isn't one?) I've made as a new home owner, so I've just gotten...frustrated. There's another YouTube video where a man replaces a sink with the Kohler Archer drop-in and uses an American Standard Chatfield faucet, and it's about an inch back of the drain.

Should I change my chrome faucets in my bathrooms to brushed nickel?

I have both chrome, brushed nickel, and brushed stainless steel throughout my home. It all blends well. When I had all my bathrooms renovated a few years ago, I kept my 30 year old solid shiny chrome towel bars and hooks, as they still looked brand new, and matched well to my new Minka Lavery pivot mirrors ( which I love). I did get new chrome faucets.

That's pretty Glenda. I went to Lowe's yesterday afternoon to look at bathroom cabinets and sinks. I need to decide what I want then decide if I want to pay for it.

Linda,I wanted new cabinet and sink, but the counter top would have to be special ordered and I'm not ready to pay that much, right now!

Me Too Glenda! My BF Husband says he thinks I can put the new facets in myself. I'm scared to do that. I saw a Granite 6' Counter with the sink for $200.00, now I forgot where I saw it. Lot of good the search did.

It might have been Lowes.

He left and did not leave me with warranty OR cleaning and using faucet.
Guess I'll have to give him a call!

I have two new bathroom faucets and a new kitchen faucet...
still in the boxes. Bought them two weeks ago, but DH has not installed them yet. *sigh*
