IKEA bathroom sink + non-IKEA faucet issue (drain covers, oh my!)

Mittens Cat

Just installed three IKEA Godmorgon vanities with Odensvik sinks and though I knew this issue was going to come up, I'm now forgetting how to resolve it and can't seem to find the right thread.

We are doing brushed stainless steel faucets (Delta) in our master. The IKEA Rinnen plumbing comes with shiny chrome drain covers and outlet rings. I remember reading somewhere that some people spray with Rustoleum to get the IKEA bits to match their non-IKEA faucets, others have found matching bits at Kingston Brass, and some buy IKEA's one brushed nickel faucets ($75) just to get those bits (and toss the rest of the faucet?).

I can't find brushed nickel or brushed stainless at Kingston Brass. Are there any other solutions? My GC is certain the bits that came with our Delta faucets won't fit with IKEA's Rinnen drains. Thanks!
