True Pop Up Sink Drains
Comments (5)We had new bathroom faucets installed about 2 months ago and they came with true pop up drains. I was hesitant about it but that's what came with the faucets so I thought I'd try them. I LOVE them! I keep telling my husband how much I like them better than the old type with the pull up/down handles. They hold water better and just have a cleaner look. I definitely want them for any new house I may move to....See MoreWall mount lavatory faucet: pop up drain?
Comments (7)Mine has a rubber stopper on a chain. I think I like the modern alternatives much better! :) I did see one showroom setup with a wallmount sink (no cabinet so exposed plumbing) and a long lever sticking out from below the sink to engage the popup. I think I like the rubber stopper better than that......See MoreIKEA bathroom sink + non-IKEA faucet issue (drain covers, oh my!)
Comments (4)Hi Mitten Cat, Not an expert on this but this company (who is not us, by the way) makes bathroom fixtures: Elements of Design Faucet Perhaps you may be able to find said brushed nickel or brushed stainless faucets on their website. We hope this information will help you make a more informed decision on your home needs. Comments (5)Thank you. The guy at the plumbing supply store said that too, that in his experience, you want the water to hit on the back side of the drain in a bathroom sink. If it hits the drain directly, the splash will be much worse. I think because in the This Old House video the guy makes a point of saying that the faucet water lines up with the drain that I thought something was off. Still, it does splash up to the handles more than I'd like, and the pressure is weak, but I guess that is a function of "new" faucets, idk. This was the third sort-of blunder (except this really isn't one?) I've made as a new home owner, so I've just gotten...frustrated. There's another YouTube video where a man replaces a sink with the Kohler Archer drop-in and uses an American Standard Chatfield faucet, and it's about an inch back of the drain....See Morerantontoo
