seeking kitchen wall color suggestions....HELP!

We have almost finished our kitchen (almost...been 10 months with "done" kitchen but took me 10 months to find the flooring I want!!) and now the original "neutral" wall color I chose does not seem to go with the floor choice (new floor will be pale red oak). NEED A CREAMY BEIGE/ TAN THAT GOES WELL WITH DARK MAHOGANY CABS, CREAMY WHITE COUNTER/ BACKSPLASH AND PALE RED OAK FLOORS!!!

Please help with suggestions to go with:

countertop - Caesarstone Nougat (creamy white with pieces of quartz - not glass)

Check out SW Kilim Beige or SW Pavilion Beige.

I too have Bianco Antico. It's faaaabulous. It really goes with a lot of colors. You can put pear green with it (which is my accent color in my house), chocolate brown, creams, whites, silver, gray, taupe, etc. etc. It is one of those granites that although it is busy, it is really open to a variety of decorating ideas. I struggled with my backsplash for quite some time with this granite. Yes, I think I'm close to being blacklisted on GW for all of my questions. But as I was closing in on the final tile--a miracle happened--I won a backsplash after entering my kitchen in a contest. The tile I won is perfect for my space. Bianco Antico varies from slab to slab--no matter what the fabricator says. I did not want one that had a lot of black and taupe in it. Mine is primarily brown, with taupes and grays in it. Congratulations on your first home! What you've done so far is beautiful! Here's a thought (which you might hate, but what the heck, I'll say it anyway--maybe it will spark a new idea in you, if nothing else). Could you remove that bar entirely, and build cabinets along the red wall instead? Or, if (since, as it appears) there's nowhere else for your sink to go, perhaps you could take out half of the bar (or more, if you replace the double sink with a single one), and still use the red wall for more cabinets, maybe some shelves if you like those? You could do a tall pantry and a row of base cabinets; it would give the kitchen more square footage and lots more storage, and make it look and feel more convenient and less cramped. Put in drawer base cabs instead of cabs with shelves, and paint all the cabinets ivory/cream, or IMO a very pale sage green or gray-green would look fantastic with the wood and furniture you have so far. (You could also consider getting short wall cabinets [the height of your backsplash] and installing them on the countertop in the corners, so they basically extend the wall cabs to the countertop. More storage, but I don't know how much if any countertop you're willing to give up.) Oh, and I also dislike those countertops--they're not awful, just not my thing. I'd pick a lighter color there, as well, maybe just a shade darker than the cabinets, or some other color used throughout the space. I do think the glass panel thingy there is kind of awful, though. That's what I would do, anyway. I don't care for those kitchen-dividing bars in general, and I don't think that one is doing your lovely new home any favors; I think it makes it look really cramped and unnatural, if that makes any sense. Taking even half of it away would open that space up so much. IMO, of course. I hope that helps!

The 4" piece is pretty easy to pry off. score it w/a box cutter(score the caulking holding it) and very easily pry it away. (use a piece of wood or a rag to keep the pry tool from damaging your wall. If you google this, there are plenty of videos and tutorials online. Do this and then do your tile. the pre cat lac is good. that's what I had done on mine. as of the mega color. I'd say no. Just do them all white. If you do that weird shade, you're locked into that color for as long as you have the kitchen. if you must do a diff color, do a darker neutral color What about Kingsport Gray (BM) I think I like it w/the countertop. grab a sample of this one too. have him spray it for you have the company spray a sample door for any color you want. even that greige color. (which I really don't think you should do) your hardware, do all handles. it looks better. I don't mind the silver,. or you could do this Cosmas Black nickel (Amazon) This one is Repose Gray Revere Pewter Look at the right column. Mega Greige and Incredible White look like they go together. or, try Eider White with Repose Gray. Mega greige has more taupe tones to it. If you must have a gray two tone, try a few of these other colors. that mega greige has too much taupe. maybe get a few sample pots and try them on a piece of similar wood and see how they look in your kitchen. No, you don't need the creams and yellows. That will make all of your choices a bit on the blah side. What you need is a subtle bit of color. Something in the green or blue family will make the wood stand out in a good way.

Thank you for the suggestions..I plan to take my Saturday going to stores to get samples/ chips!!

The main concern is the paint working with the new floor...it really has a soft pink/ peachy hue to it since it is a pale red oak. Cannot get a good photo of it to show the pinkishness (is that a word?). It pulls the reddish tones of the dark mahogany cabs nicely but I feel like it does not work with the greenish feeling of the traditional beiges (I currently have BM Lady Finger). Stay tuned!

Your major visible elements will be your floor and cabinets.

Here is a progress pic of my kitchen. We have dark stained perimeter cabs, tan brown granite, tumbled travertine backsplash, and natural white oak floors. We have SW Kilim Beige on our walls. It is a nice warm color, no green in it at all. The warmth is kind of washed out in the pic due to the sunlight. Look at all of the colors on that paint strip. SW Nomadic Desert is the next color on the strip (darker). Stay away from SW Softer Tan and SW Relaxed Khaki, they definitely are greener beiges.
