I knew I could count on you guys :) It seems like, based on what I'm reading at those links, the tomatoes (either green ones or maybe the leaves sticking through the fence?) are a possibility but probably not likely. I think only one morning glory actually sprouted, so probably not enough of that plant to be harmful. My dog is a 24 lb. papillon mix. She does have a bad habit of eating things she shouldn't though. Before I had a secure fence around my garden she would pick the little baby watermelons and carry them around and chew on them. I think she thought they were balls also. Helen, your comment about toads really caught my attention because last night the dogs were all barking at this huge toad in my garden and trying to get at it through the fence. I found him in there a long time ago and let him stay thinking he probably ate a lot of bugs (he's HUGE!) The dogs always bark and try to get him when he ventures over on that side of the garden where they can see him. I knew toads could make a dog drool but never dreamed it could get any worse than that! I don't know how she would have gotten hold of the toad since it was inside the chain link fence, but it does make me wonder, especially with the vomiting, etc. starting shortly after that. Does anyone know if there are cane toads in Oklahoma? I was just reading about those and they sound awful! I'm also wondering now about my homemade composter made from a plastic trash can. I have it sitting out there in the back yard, and I put my scraps in it. It has holes drilled in it for air but to be honest I don't roll it around or otherwise aerate it like I should. With all the rain lately, I noticed there is some goo running out the bottom. I also noticed that the dogs had been digging in that area (which they do because the ground there is soft and sandy). I wonder if she could have come in contact with something that had washed out of the composter into the soil? Helen, are you thinking some kind of bacteria or fungus or something that was in that lump your dog ate, or that the plant scrap itself was toxic to dogs? Neither one of these things has ever crossed my mind as being a hazard to my dogs! I need to put the composter inside the fenced garden area, and relocate the toad as well just in case. My backyard is starting to look like a minefield of potential dog dangers lol Thank you all for the responses and for opening my eyes to some hazards I was not aware of. If anybody else has ideas or experiences please do mention them.

Well, I have seen these neighbors back for a couple short periods this week picking up more of their stuff, so I assume they are also feeding the dogs. Their 13 year old son was riding his scooter up and down the alley in back of our house annoying our lab who would run over to the fence (open picket so we could all see what he was doing) and bark at him. He barks at anyone who walks by our rides their bicycles down the alley because he is used to just seeing cars go by and doesn't bark at cars. We were in our backyard and walked over to calm him down and overheard him saying something to tease our dog. We didn't appreciate that at all. We put our lab in the house until they left. Instead of teasing our dog, he should have been playing with his dog who has been very lonely in their absence. I heard they are supposed to be out of the house by this weekend and hopefully they will take the dog with them because if they don't, I will contact animal control.

Thank you for your responses. You are right, and that is why it has continued for too long, the manager not approaching this properly. And the supervisor is condescending and demeaning, so you can imagine). In the past, I missed opportunities to have it witnessed when it seems she did not want to enter units during Covid. She would stand outside his door to listen, then not knock since she hadn’t heard loud audio. 😏 She also believes that if not hearing volume from a distance outside, then it must not be loud, and does not comprehend about Bass transference thru floors, walls, or amplifiers. 🤔 (Apparently that is suggested to do, but being in the instance of partying, fighting, yelling, as “nuisance noise” is considered being). Many times she would try to call him, but he would not answer or call her back and could not leave voicemail. (Then, it is forgotten about). If she ever did talk to him, it didn‘t matter. As mentioned, this type just continues on. I think I have mentioned his “talking back to her” when she spoke to him outdoors. She hasn’t understood how to handle this, when another might. It could have been resolve long ago. It’s funny, you would think she would after many complaints, do something. She’s nice, but seems passive. (It’s so frustrating and I would left in a flash if possible. I have felt stuck, the housing situation in So. CA being difficult for many). I have wanted to have her visit at the right moment, hoping it would not cease before she visited, but as said, is usually very late. (When the police visited, it was raining, and she doesn’t want to go outdoors then). Unfortunately, in the unit next to his “entertainment wall“ is a kitchen, and though the tenants were especially aware during his police visit aftermath when sleeping, they had not wanted to bother “writing the supervisor”. It has been futile. (I have asked anyone having lived next to me over time if they hear my TV or stereo, never having been an issue, but I am conscious of things, which is the difference). I believe that this would be handled differently elsewhere and if another tenant besides me would have resided here, the neighbor above would have been gone long ago. Part of the resistance to complaints stems from having had a couple of others prior be disruptive up there also, so I am seen as “being oversensitive”, when it is not the case and not being witnessed. ((sigh)) I did not experience this from most tenants here or in other buildings, so it has been very difficult, having had it doubted, assumptions made, on top of. Thanks for listening. I’m always glad to hear if others can get some resolve. This should be taken seriously.

I'm wondering if he just used a very unfortunate choice of words to express the idea that it takes him time to do an estimate and that's a loss if you're a casual inquirer. Is the same as the "qualifying" process idea, but any craftsman, designer or similar person just has to have some kind of sequence of involvement that they can rely on that saves them time but still attracts new customers. I don't know how this works, of course, since the problem is, with many such efforts, you can't come up with an accurate estimate unless you know most of what you're being asked to do, so if it takes you 30 min, even, to figure that out, and you do that several times daily, and the return is low, you're broke. If someone is well-established in a fairly high end business, he might well charge a fee just to talk and see your wish list and give an estimate, and then that cost will be applied if you buy. For cabinetry, I would wonder if the person could have any kind of brochure or book of work with some example prices, even if price range was kinda broad and there were multiple disclaimers about "prices subject to change". I mean, you might be trying to figure out whether a custom built-in hutch costs $3k or $30 k, or whatever. My point is just that, it would be more straightforward to be told it'll cost me to sit down with the guy and get an estimate, since that is just the business of how he values his time, and that would not be offensive, as I can then make my decision about whether I value it the same amount, and includes the sensible idea that people agree on fees before doing any level of business, compared to the "if you have to ask" approach.
