Most likely a Wood Thrush.

Thanks Tucker and TMFF! I'm not sure I've ever seen a Hermit thrush before......or maybe I was calling it something else. I should have looked a little further in my bird book......as it says its reddish tail is its mark. Its been hanging out in the gravel driveway outside my kitchen window. There are a couple of them. It keeps picking up things out of the drive......not sure what. It seems to stand still alot. Maybe its just thinking? :) Thanks again!

Thanks everyone. I do have one that is hard for the Jays to get. The usually land on it, (or try to) it's too small and moves too much, so they seem to enjoy spilling the seed out and then eating it off the ground. One of them manages to hang on with practically his whol body underneath the feeder with just enough room for his beak to get in the little space to get seeds! lol I have only one feeder out. I do notice that the Thrush doesn't eat from the feeder. looks like he just likes to get it off the ground. interesting!

I need really good advice! My baby is now 4 months and has had thrush since he was only 3 weeks. I've tried just about everything I know. Nystatin, gention violet, vinegar water, baking soda water, those things just don't work. And I wash my nipples after each feeding and apply clotrimazole cream. I'm also using probiotics with 42 billion active cells per capsule 3 capsules a day, and I've been giving baby some as well. My daughter had the exact same problem and delt with it for over a year then we went to Mexico for vacation and I saw a doctor there and he gave me metronidazole for her, 3 weeks of that and her thrush was gone. But the docs here in Canada won't give anything but Nystatin. Can anyone help me?
