How can I identify a thrush

Recently, I have been seeing a new bird digging around my yard. At first, I thought it was a song sparrow because of their mottled pattern breast, but then I thought it look a bit too stubby and had no stripes markings on their head. The next time it appeared, I notice it had sort of a whitish ring around the eye like a robin.

In fact, it look very much a robin and about the same size, but had no orange breast. Looking at various picture, I realized it was probably a thrush of some kind.

But which one? Veery, Hermit Thrush, and Swainson's Thrush looks really similar. I tried to listen to the song, but it's pretty noisy in the yard with the ducks quacking all the time. The red wing black birds are also really noisy. By the way, I live in Northern IL about an hour from Chicago.
