Bread Machines for Mixing & Rising/Please Tell Me More

I got a notice from Amazon touting major deals on bread machines. The mini Zo that I have been coveting (& resisting)is 23% off w/ a free shipping option. I'm tempted..

Because of this forum we now make our pizzas/dough from scratch. I also get a lot of "drop in" and overnight guests at the lake, where we are not near any place that sells good bread. It would be nice to have the smaller machine that I could easily transport back & forth from home to the lake.

I've read that many of you use your machines to mix your dough. Do you let it rise in it as well? How does that work? Is there a setting where it lets you know to take it out? Or do you just time the rise as you'd do in a bowl? Or does it take less time? Do you use it for pizza dough?

I only got started making yeast breads last year, and am not bread machine savvy, as my questions would indicate. Before I take the plunge and splurge on a machine, I'm trying to determine if it's something that really suits my needs.
