I agree with the previous post. You need to make the experience a positive one. Any command will do to get the dog into the crate. I use "go home". To get pup to go in on his own (this is very important, try not to force him), make a little trail with treats just outside the crate on the floor that leads into the crate. Preferably treats used for training purposes only. When he goes in, gently praise and give another small treat. This needs to happen for a while, perhaps even a few months. When you leave, turn on the t.v. or soft music. This will appease the dog when you are away. When you are there, practice the crating experience. Lots of people make a huge mistake of not doing this. Spending tons of time with their dog when they are home and on weekends, the dog is out of the crate a big part of the time, and when they go back to work, all of a sudden the crating experience starts again. Dog get's confused and frightened. Practicing will help very much. Ignore the crying. It will stop. Paying attention when he does this will reinforce it and make it worse. Good luck! SG

Right as I mentioned my phone has the ability to create a hotspot for tethering but the unite provides more connections to it and also as shown in the article (pictures of speed tests) has much much better speeds and a very long lasting battery (very similar to using a home router). Using the cell phone for tethering multiple devices is often slow going and can not last as long as the battery on the unite. If I only used it rarely that would be ok but when we are traveling I am on the unite exclusively for the entire trip long term and the difference between it and the phone hotspot is significant and worth the price for it. Verizon has a similar offering too. I was curious if there were any other stand alone options other than ones that had to be part of an existing phone plan as I have now. That way I could go with a cheap cell phone plan and a separate stand alone wifi device plan. I have seen that you can get the unite as a prepaid version and use the cards you buy for minutes. That is something I am looking at. I would ideally like to separate the two so I can really drop down in the cell phone rates since we really don't use them much. I like having my smart phone but I can live with less there but not with out my portable wifi device. I did try just using the cell phone hotspot tethering but it just does not compare to using the unite. It is provided in my plan and on my phone so I can use that option anytime. Once you have experienced the difference between those 2 options it is hard to not have the unite and just go with phone hot spot.

OK, so I have now officially read one of the longlist. I found a UK first edition of Sabrina by Nick Drnaso. As the first graphic novel ever listed on the Booker, I thought it was worth a punt - I strongly suspect it'll be worth a bit more than I paid for it in the future. But it's really quite disappointing. I didn't find the story convincing; I couldn't get immersed in it at all. I thought the drawing was quite poor - in fact, I had difficulty telling some of the characters apart. The very first couple of pages totally confused me, as I thought the main character on them was male - until the character said to a woman something like "Shall we have a girls night in?", and I did a double take. No, Sabrina did absolutely nothing for me. It made a few points about modern life quite tellingly, but still... This, I think, is a classic example of the Booker trying to be cool and edgy. It won't be shortlisted. (Maybe I just don't get graphic novels - I read Alan Moore's Watchmen because everyone raved about it, and I couldn't see what all the fuss was about.) Next - Milkman by Anna Burns. I have read the first fifteen pages of this, and in my opinion it's already got far more depth and interest that the whole of Sabrina.
