Salt-free turkey: Ew?

I have an additive-free turkey for Thanksgiving (we'll do it on Saturday so there's time to prep) and I'm wondering if I can do it without adding salt. I really like the salting method but hey...if my father-in-law passes on early, my mother-in-law would be here all the time! Just kidding, but he IS trying to keep his salt intake way down.

Is it possible to make a good Thanksgiving turkey saltless? (There will be salt in the gravy for sure.

If it's just plain impossible I can cut the salt in all the sides instead I suppose. And FIL can't have cranberries either because they interfere with some medication.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
