Can gluey "stuffing/dressing" be salvaged?

One of our guests made dressing (when it's stuffed into the bird, we call it stuffing, so outside the bird, it's dressing) for our family & friends Thanksgiving dinner.

It was put together on the stovetop and then kept warm in a crock pot.

it was ... to put it kindly... not the best. It was too wet and gluey.

She left the leftover stuffing with us. I tried patting it out onto a jelly roll pan (the stuffing is about 1/2 inch thick) and put it in the oven to dry out using a 325 temp.

No luck after 25 minutes.

I cut a couple squares out of it and flipped them over, and put the pan back in the over for about an hour. The edges are edible and nicely dried out--only on the edges, but the remainder of the pan is full of wet and gluey dressing.

Can it be salvaged in any way or should I just give up and toss it? I'm kinda leaning toward tossing it. So disappointed! We usually love her dressing but this year, ick.

Smiles,

Sooz
