Where NOT to store flour

A while back I bought a 50 lb bag of flour without thinking ahead where and how I was going to store it. I divided it up in five and put it in large ziplock bags. I thought it belonged in the basement, so to keep the bags safe from the occasional mouse I placed four of them in an unused cedar chest. Finally through my first bag I went down to get another this morning. I just realized that it's not the bag itself that smells like cedar, but the flour itself! I guess it penetrated the plastic.

The bread I baked this morning doesn't smell like cedar, so I'm thinking it's fine? On the other hand, now I'm a bit skeeved by the flour. An hour round trip and $19.50 would replace/replenish my stock and last me a very long time. What would you do?
