At Walmart here, the inserts are $40-$50 a set. I would hope they work..and I'm sure they are cheaper than a set of custom orthodics..

Hubby "was" fitted by the machine..but wasn't willing to pay the above price..but he's never had to buy orthodics either.

OK a couple of years ago my feet hurt so bad when I got off of work that I couldnt hardly walk. I thought I dont know how much longer I will be able to work. I had ordered those off of a infomercial that I think were called walkfit or something like that. We went to visit our daughter and her family in Michigan and my son-in-law told me even before we got there he was going to take me to meijers and have me try the machine. When I tried it it told me which ones I needed and they were the second to the bottom so that means mine were really bad. My husband tried it and his were second to the top and so were my daughters. When my SIL did it his were the same as mine. Well since I had ordered these off of the TV I said I will wait until I get home and see if they were any good and if not I will have them send me a pair of them. I got home and the other ones were already here. I tried them for a couple of days and they were so hard and they never made any difference in helping my feet. I sent them back and had my SIL get me a pair. I could not believe the difference it made I have absolutely no problems now with my feet. I am a cook and I spend a lot of time on my feet. They were a godsend for me. I would not hesitate to spend the money on them again but these show no sign of wear and I dont know if they will ever wear out. I would highly reccomend them to anyone who has foot problems. Now they have them here in North and South Dakota. They just got them here though.

I used to be able to buy the dr. scholls runners and loved them as they have gel in the heel area and so comfortable for me to wear plus the width for my wide foot it felt so good.

but I find when there is a good product, the people that work in the store grab them and so when on sale, its along way for me to drive to find nothing left.

When we were in Ca and DH was having foot problems, we found a "specialty" store called "Good Feet" where they could fit you with a ready made/made to measure insert for your shoes. Pricy, perhaps, but his feet have not bothered him since then, and he wears these inserts frequently, but not always. Also good (SAS) shoes. More than 6 years ago! Nanny

Sue...thank you for this information. I'm going to check into it. So far the insoles the Dr. gave me are working and I have been staying off my foot as much as I can.

I'm noticing a little improvement in the toe area so I am optimistic about this.

My husband went to the 'Good Feet' store when he first started having problems with his hip. What a difference. I'm thinking about it now that I've been having knee problems.
