Am. baking powder vs. German baking powder

There is a difference between the two. For some reason every store around here which used to carry German baking powder don't have it right now, even my mailorder site is out of it. Has anybody an idea how much Am. baking powder I would have to substitute for a pckg. of German (Oetker) baking powder?
