LOL!

I had 4 kids in 5 years. I get it. I second the suggestion of the detergent filled bucket, but I usually did not have the energy for that. I just hand washed the offending pair with dish soap in the utility sink and left it until it was time to do the whites. That way any solid matter was washed away and the underwear was more or less clean when it was put in the washing machine. I am lucky enough to have a utility sink and when I was really lazy, I would just let them soak indefinitely until wash day. I would change out the water once a day (if I remembered). Human beings with normal immune systems are able to take on a good bit of bacteria without a lot of problems. Kids are dirty (teenage boys are not much better). Don't stress over it.

Char,, your quilts are great. I really admire you for keeping up on your hobby under really less-than-ideal circumstances. Sailing is wonderful, but sailing and quilting seem pretty incompatible to me. You've made it work!! Shelagh looks beautiful underway. Donna, sailing is also a wonderful hobby. I found it a very empowering pasttime. I started sailing in my late 40's and racing shortly thereafter. It was my passion until I was about 73. At that time, I thought I'd leave racing to the younger set. I still love to sail, but since I sold my boat after I quit racing, I don't do it much any more. For Char, it's a lifestyle now.

Speaking of songs to wake up to, that song, 'Amie' was one of my faves when I was a teen. I remember waking up to it on my radio alarm clock and singing along 🙂 I can't decide whether this heartbreaker is about regret or not, but it's definitely full of sorrow... I Loved You Once In Silence/ Julie Andrews Also sad to think that perfect voice is now silenced. I think this qualifies: Yesterday/ The Beatles
