Comments (109)Jmck, wise words, I realize that at my age I have to be realistic that I'll never be a hard body no matter how much or how intensely I work out ;). I also like the suggestion to schedule it. I'll try for a weekly plan since things do vary and I can't always do my preferred M-W-F morning workouts. I worked with a trainer for almost a year before I retired and it was extremely helpful. My university had a program in which you could hire grad PT students to do private sessions at our wellness center. I lucked out since the young man I worked with was just great in tailoring workouts to my goals of being stronger and with better balance. His PT skills were a very helpful extra layer of skill. I just have to continue to keep going and keep varying the workouts. Thanks everyone for the helpful feedback!...See MoreFNM (Friday Night Music) You II
Comments (31)Someone in the comments about this song said it induces a feeling of ambeddo, which is a word from the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows. Apparently it’s a trance like state where you become absorbed in details like raindrops falling down windows or cloud formations etc. I usually can’t keep my eyes open when I listen to it, but I gave it a try while I was on my exercise bike and a dead ivy vine on a tree trunk did morph into a giant centipede, and I saw the face of a one eyed one eared bull with an umbrella on his head in the flint of my garden wall🧐👍😁...See MoreFNM Friday Night Music: Animal kingdom
Comments (74)Michele, I can't think of What's New Pussycat without thinking about John Mulaney's story. This should probably go under the Smile thread, but it's topical, so I'm posting it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30KbSbh-8jE...See Morecarolb_w_fl_coastal_9b
